Yes, same problem here but only in VR. Hopefully will be addressed soon.
Well, this is now more than 6 months so it has fallen off the Recent Bugs list, without anything happening.
If it were still on the list, it would rank number 5. All but one of the other bugs listed are either fixed or under investigation, a privilege never accorded to this bug. Even the odd-bug-out (concerning Dune) has at least been looked at as itâs marked as âNo Reproâ.
I would like Asobo to explain what is the point of us reporting and voting for bug fixes, when the results of the vote are blatantly ignored? From the Dev Streams, this seems to be a policy adopted by Martial (and not challenged by anyone else) with no real reason given. (Most of the items on the list are more of a minority interest than VR is, so a comment made by Jorg a year ago is certainly not valid.)
It isnât showing on the ârecentâ bug log because it is now over six months old.
And nothing has been done to solve it over this period, despite the number of votes. It was marked as only âfeedback-loggedâ for a long time (despte being in the top ten), then eventually marked as âbug-loggedâ, subsequently completely ignored, and now it has fallen off this list as it is too old.
Note: Although it started as a VR bug, others have reported it in 2D - itâs just that it is worse in VR. It is probably affecting even more people than those who find their way to this thread.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OPâs steps to reproduce it?
YES

Exactly the same as original poster. I also get out of it by having to restart the flight.

Who is going to buy FS2024?
4 years on for FS2020 and its still got problem even after SU15
It is interesting seeing how many people think FS2024 will work out of the box, it will solve all our problems, and will be paradise on earth.
The reality is, of course, more like what happened on the release of FS2020, with a lot of problems, and an update about once a week to try to fix them. Many of the problems unsolved in FS2020 will remain unsolved, including this one - Asobo have made it very clear they are not going to âwaste timeâ on VR as it is a âminorityâ interest. (They donât mention that most problems they actually solve are only applicable to a limited group, and will clock up less total flight time than VR.)
Given the delay in the final SU15 update (a relatively minor update), and assuming they will do similar beta testing for FS2024, I wouldnât be surprised if the release date is pushed back into 2025, although I also wouldnât be surprised if they push it out with a whole catalogue of unsolved bugs.
All good points, its back to Xplane?
I agree FS2026 will be a mess for the first 4 or 5 years
I actually use Aerofly as my comfort zone. VR (particularly the hands) is excellent.
Hi,
Bug still occuring with SU15.
Thanks
Yes i have had this issue for the last few updates. Its still here in SU15. It load to the screen where the ready to fly button is but there is just a little white square in the bottom right corner. Have to restart the flight and i have the Ready to Fly button again.
I feel like they dont care about it because its in VR and they have stoped updates for VR in FS2020. Its intermittent and yes when it happens the top pop up menu bar is all messed up. I guess the work around is to launch VR after you hit the button to launch the flight.
If 2020 is an indicator of how 2024 will run, it will be like a beta for at least a year or two.
Although if they are using a lot of the code from 2020 (the longest non betaâŠbeta in history) then maybe 2024 will start out positively. Finger crossed.
I would put money on that. Its thier process and they have stuck to it. Unfortunate, but thats most likely whats going to happen.
I cant wait till AI can look at the code and fix it in 40 seconds. No more trial and error. One can hope.
For the past few days, Iâve been experiencing the problem again after it had disappeared for a long time! I have no idea what has changed to cause it to reoccur!
Another VR bug and not suprised that itâs not fixed yet. Theres no VR improvement whatsoever for a long time which makes me have some doubts about MSFS2024.
Had this issue sometimes during the whole beta. Restart the flight. And enjoy. For me not the end of the world
Same here for too long times. Please do something !
Iâm afraid Martial made it quite clear he was not going to spare any of his staff to work on the various problems with VR, so it looks like weâre stuck with it.
Great customer service!
This isnât a VR only bug. For some reason the program doesnât always load the style sheets correctly. Probably this file: â\Official\OneStore\fs-base-ui-pages\html_ui\Pages\MissionStartup\MissionStartup.cssâ

Half of my VR flights, ready to fly button is missing.

Yes, I believe this is true. I believe there is a bug in the software which erroneously misloads, or over-writes data/code within the basic program. For whatever reason, this does not become apparent so often in 2D as it does in VR - I seem to remember I encountered it perhaps a couple of times before I bought my headset, but have encountered it several times since.
Whatever it is, at some point (either in an update, or even in FS2024) it is likely to become more virulent and cause more than distorted/misplaced messages. Perhaps this is already occuring in the unexplained CTDs still being reported across the sim.
Although software was not my main task in my career, I did carry out some quite substantial projects. One thing I learnt was that if you have a bug, however small, it was always best to sort it before it became a nightmare, not after. I do wish Asobo would follow the same practice.
