Missions are not regenerating, I am unable to take any mission on my plane location

You are going off topic, but adding to your statement you can believe me no one is starving either in Asobo or Microsoft.

All my progress and whole career mode is cloud based… How reinstalling the game on my drive would change anything that’s on MS servers?

It might not, but as quickly as a reinstalltion of 2024 is compared what I am used too from 2020, It would be worth the effort at least to me, just to see if that fixes anything I’ve encountered elswhere in the game too - at least before I punch a hole in my monitor.

I started noticing the lack of missions as well. I thought they were regenerating before but as of now, the area I started at in Europe is out of missions. I am not just talking one airport but a whole part of Europe I have been doing missions around.

I really hope this is not intentional just to force us to fly around the world.

I guess you already tried that…but just to be sure…did you zoom in closer to the airports?
Many missions are only displayed at a certain zoom level and below.

Yeah I did it.

Also noticed this happening in east coast of US but honestly didn’t paid this much attention to places other than Bora Bora where my plane is stuck.

I started 3 companies. On my 3rd I decided, flock the 2 others; I’ll liquidate my 172s, get a TBM, a little sidecash and start doing exclusively VIP flights. After all, I had seen quite a few on my Employee map and thought it would be a good Freelance hustle.

So I check my Employee map and find a VIP hotspot with several jobs within a 200nm radius, buy my new TBM, send it to southern France and lo and behold - there are zero jobs available. Now, sending my plane to the US to get access to a single VIP job would run me about 100k.

I’m giving up on Freelance mode at this point - there’s more money to be made than Employee, but nothing useful to do with it and too many issues with planes and late stage career. The barriers to entry to do the more interesting (to me) missions are not worth the grind at this point in development.

Employee is the only way to fly without worrying about anything except a little reputation loss if you crash.

In better news, NEOFLY team has confirmed their app will be compatible with FS2024 as of the next update which is due very soon!

I just bought a 208 for cargo missions (sold the 172). Can barely find missions now.

Here is my map for Central US. I have done probably less than a half dozen light cargo missions since starting my company. Now there are no missions unless I pay at least 36K to transfer to Europe

I’m having the same problem, bough my first plane, I spent all my money in it and I don’t have any mission for it, the area I have discovered is around 900x900km.

Missions did end up regenerating for me.

Did you do something? after how long did they regenerated, It’s been a dar for me and still nothing

It was just the next day I think and they regenerated. It was cargo missions just as an FYI

And Im still without any mission as freelancer

Same here. Totally broke career mode. Got a company and my aircraft is somewhere else. Paid to bring it to me and no missions at all.

See this post.

What a waste of hours and hours of grinding licenses and credits.

Yeah I paid to transfer to an airport, then had to abort mission because of menu and controller bugs (this game is ■■■■). Now the mission is gone. I have no more credits to transfer to anywhere elese.

Back to the employee grind.

So ■■■■■■■ annoying, like everything else in this shitbox they gave us.

having a similar issue at Rio, only sightseeing missions at random POIs no actual human being would ever consider visiting, like a random parking lot or a random hill that no one even bothered to build a house there, ignoring completely the obvious ones like Maracanã, Engenhão, Sugar Loaf, Christ the Redeemer, Sambadrome, Metropolitan Cathedral, Arches of Lapa, Copacabana, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, Ipanema and many others, with these missions departing from an Air Base, rather than Jacarepaguá (a GA airport) or Santos Dumont (which has airline and GA traffic), and either 1 or no cargo missions at all…

not to mention no charter missions whatsoever, neither freelance nor employee, despite the huge RW executive and air taxi traffic between Rio (SBRJ and SBJR), São Paulo (SBSP and SBMT) and Minas Gerais (SBBH)

seeing this happening at a place that had a WU completely removes any hope I had of this being fixed with the next WU… that is, if they actually deliver it instead of doing another 10 european or US WU

Patch has came and… I still can’t fly my plane xDD
This is beyond ridiculous.

I don’t understand what you are saying.

If you only have one Company aircraft, its shown on your map. However, your character appears to have done a job somewhere else. Your character doesn’t look like he stayed with the company aircraft.

Obviously my character is in different part of Earth just because there is no mission anywhere near the location of airport where my plane is. I do not need to be at airport of my plane to see if there are any missions. I don’t know what is there not to understand.

I see now.

I realize tha you are probably now already familiar with the ideas presented below. I submit them for people who might not understand if there is any relevance to how the Career Mode plays out versus IRL. There are concepts that are remotely similar, but they would be missed by most.

The difference in availability between Freelance and Employee missions is somewhat limited, but it is limited based on what companies with aircraft you own. I only find it particularly limiting in remote areas in which I would expect not to have a market for my business services.

Since your original post, have you leveled your character, unlocked the different Specialties and associated mission types and availability from doing so? I have to assume that you have, and that those islands are unfortunately small markets to be in.

In the gamish “Simulation” of the “Career” mode, we only get “Crew” for aircraft we aren’t flying, and that’s it. We have to do all the local and international “Outbound Sales and Marketing” of our company by our “energetic, self-motivated, and self-disciplined” selves.

I see that as a plausible part of a Career and being your own CEO of a startup company, so even if it starts off slow, it probably does in real life too.

THE most unrealistic aspect of the above is:
You mearly fly to and land at a localtion you’ve never been to, and eveyone instantly knows who you are and is ready to utilize your services without estabishing any prior contacts.
*** I am totally on board with that ommission - and extremely thankful  ***
