Also, the last two feature the C208, with a windshear encounter and then randomly selected scenarios. Everything that you gain from COMMANDER will stay with you throughout your flying career, no matter your aircraft type.
The COMMANDER manual has cockpit layout sections for all aircraft used and onscreen highlights help you navigate around the controls.
Being adaptable is a crucial skill and COMMANDER has been designed with this in mind.

I completed Commander last night! It was all fun, but the final flight where you get to do a complete short flight with random failures was the most fun. Knowing SOMETHING is gonna happen but not knowing what it will be is really exciting. I have only done it once so far, but I got brake fluid leak… This obviously didn’t required an emergency landing or a diversion, but I planned far in advance for what my landing is going to be knowing all that. Knowing I won’t have brakes and keeping in mind it was a turboprop, I knew it was going to be coming in with lowest approach speed (just short of stall alarm), immediate flap retraction on touchdown to help with stopping, and going into a reverse to bring myself to the stop. I did go one step further and decided to vacate the runway and taxi out to the apron using only minimal throttle and going into reverse far enough in advance to slow myself down and bring the bird to a complete stop! It was lovely! David, thanks again! Everyone should do this. Of particular interest was the icing challenges and I never thought of something like smashing your VSI gauge and the explanation of why that would help! The Hudson Miracle recreation is also worth doing a few times to manage dual engine failure and ditching.

You wrote “Soon.” When is this “soon”? Is it a day? A week? A few weeks? A few weeks? I check Orbx every day, and there is „Commander“ available for purchase, but no way to buy it.

This was posted 6 days ago, sounds like they are waiting on MS marketplace approval so they can do a simultaneous release hopefully in the next week or so.

Thanks for posting and for your enthusiasm towards our latest and greatest. We are awaiting Microsoft to do their side of testing before they will release on Marketplace, at which point we will release everywhere.
Thanks for your patience whilst we wait, I understand MS has a backlog currently, but we submitted COMMANDER to them a week back.
We’ll post here as soon as we know a date!

We hope so, we are waiting for Microsoft to do their thing. Typically thursdays are marketplace release days, so hopefully next week or the week after, but all TBC.
