Mixed textures in ground at default airport DX12 Beta

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

I have the same issue, but am not using REX textures. So it’s not that.

I noticed that this problem is only occurring when I use the fenix a320. When I use any other native or non-native aircraft, it does not occur (I don’t have pmdg).

I’m using dx12, dlss quality, dlss frame generator, ultra settings.

Wish there was some feedback on this from the devs.
Terrible tile popping/texture bleed in SU12 - DX12, rtx4080, latest Nvidia driver (and earlier versions).
No reports of any fix in SU13 beta notes…sigh…

Honestly can’t remember I had this with my 3090 though…

Hello community! I was taxiing around DFW to demonstrate another issue at KDFW. I happened to come across this error as well. This was with a cleand DX12 cache and clean community folder.

Been having this issue for a while really hit and miss, but so glad I’m not the only one with this!!

Haven’t tested moving back to DX11 but hoping this can get fixed.

Bing terrain seems to be popping through sparsely at all airport surfaces and terrain in SU13 DX12 Beta (so far has occurred at default VQPR, Drzewiecki KEWR, MK Studios KPHL, MK Studios CYUL)… didn’t have this issue with SU12

Happens too at RJOO and Beijing Airport. Even with third party airports in the most secluded airports (NZAA)

Interestingly with SU13, latest graphics drivers and Pushback Toolbar (freeware addon) removed, I did not notice the behaviour. Completed a few flights now, online/VATSIM, FSR2 on DX12, FBW A32N. Runs surprisingly smooth. Dont know if it is SU13 or the pushback toolbaar thing to blame, i suspect the latter.
SU13 DX12, 5800X3D, 6900 XT on latest drivers.

Thinking about this…as for some people, this seems to occur in the Fenix A320 or the PMDG (dont have those): Do those acft have some sort of a pushback/“map view” system integrated? In the FBW 32NX, i deactivated the integrated system alongside the “Pushback toolbar” freeware in favour of now using GSX, so I am wondering if having a second (external) camera view active somewhere might cause the issue?

Seems even worse in SU13 for me, and I can’t see a pushback service causing this. I do not use Pushback Toolbar and have this issue.

I’ve said it earlier in the thread. I have the issue even when I run a pure “vanilla” install of the sim.

It’s a bug with the sim. There may or may not be add-ons that exacerbate the issue, but it remains a core sim issue.

Yes, same ussue.

Missing texture tiles at airports when in DX12.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

The sim runs so much better with DX12. It is a pitty that I have to accept this texture problem. It really kills the immersion.

I am getting the texture issue only with Frame Generation on. Otherwise no issues. It is a bit of a shame that this issue has been persistent throughout users for a while and no fixes have been made. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

FG has no impact directly, the problem is that you need DX12 for FG and DX12 is the culprit.

This is for sure much worse in SU13 now that I’ve had more time to spend in the sim since the update. I dunno what changed but it’s worse now.

Really a shame that this problem has gone on so long without being addressed. Seems like something like this would be a really high priority breakfix.

same bug here. direct x 12 , windows 11, frame generation on, nvidia 4080

Brief description of the issue:

When using the Directx 12 API often when switching camera views, eg from drone to normal chase or cockpit etc or simply looking around, the ground textures seem to suddenly dissapear showing sat data below it.
Happens mostly on airports.
It’s a bummer cuz i do really want to use Frame Generation but this is quite annoying.

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Just use Directx12 and switch your camera around, drone a bit as well that seems to trigger it faster.

Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version (Learn how to find your current graphics card driver version):

Happens both on my 7900XTX and 4080 latest drivers.

This graphical issue has been around since DX12 was released so not sure why no1 mentioned this before, i’ve seen it happen multiple times with other people on discord.
