I got this on both .16 and .17 release. The workaround for me is to turn photogrammetry off and then on again in the Data options and then restart a flight. If you try doing that while in the flight and resume, it takes ages for the settings to change and may not work when you resume.
What usually happens is I load into the Sim fine and it seems like if I stay in the cockpit it looks normal when looking out windows. When I go to external view it bugs out and then it never fixes itself. Not sure if it would happen anyway even without going into external view.
iâm seeing this on almost every custom or default airport, where the underlying ortho shows, instead the ontop airport textures.
and as you can see in the first two picturs it even differs with angel.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OPâs steps to reproduce it?
Yes, when DX12 enabled.

When it happens itâs normally on the first load of the airport. if I go back to the main menu and start again, itâs usually ok. I am not on maximum Vram when it happens. Zooming in and out can make the tiles disappear/appear. it happens on payware and stock airports.
Are you using DX12?
yes
Are you using DLSS?
no TAA
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
Ground Terrain leaking into the airport textures. After trying several times the reset photogrammetry and restarting the flight. Nothing solves it, if you switch cameras and pan the bug appears again.
In DEV mode I realized is the âDraw on Terrainâ option the one that can make you see what is really happening. Below terrain is leaking into the drew airport terrain.
But not matter what, uncheck it and check it again. The bug persist.

In conclusion, this is a DX 12 bug, it never happens in DX 11. I really have no other issues with DX 12, in fact it would be my preferred option, since is silky smooth and very consistent in performance. Super stable in fps, but unfortunately we have THIS issue.

Oh well, now is my topic merged into this one⊠and of course no answer from the devs, at least it has the âfeedback loggedâ tag. Again one of the issues I wonder why not everyone is affectedâŠ
