I’ve zipped it up as a release for you guys to use. Just put in your community folder and REMOVE the old mod.
Again this does not have everything the old mod had. Only the things I mentioned and it’s not thoroughly tested, although I have done quite a few flights with it myself.
So do I get it right, this works with the AAU1? How about the enhanced version?
I’m a bit lost about the differences between the mod and the AAU1 stuff. Is there maybe a list what has been changed/improved? (e.g.: performance, handling etc.)
Good luck on developing the mod!
Cheers!
I’ve tried it today with the AAU1 update, it works really well except that when I start the engine and flip the throttle to low idle at 13% it doesn’t kick in from there until I click the fuel selector to auto. Should this be the case?
The AA1 update added the new WT G3000 and added new bugs with the door operation and breaker bar. The announced attempts to make the TBM 930 feel like a premium, 3rd party airplane were more a step backwards so far.
The community version contains many improvements to interior and exterior lighting, adds co-pilot, camera positions, working sun visors to name a few. I’m not sure about the engine performance and handling but I think there were items there too. It’s just so many little things that they add up to a much nicer overall experience.
The default TBM 930 just feels a little bland and unpolished to me after being used to the mod.
Hmm, really? I’ve started her up countless times and never experienced this.
AUX BP on, ignition auto, and starter to on for 2 sec, then like you said at 13% N1 into low idle (from cutoff) to give her fuel and she starts up. Can you check if your fuel selection is either L or R before you do so? Maybe it was off hence you nee to set SEL auto to have it switch.
(There is a bit of state saving in my version between flights, so if you switched the fuel selector to off manually during shutdown on the next flight it will be off again, as opposed to whatever the default is which is either L or R)
Something not directly related to the mod but with the TBM in general:
Can I put the reverse thrust on the switch on one of the throttle axles on the Honeycomb Bravo? So when I pull the throttle all the way down, full reverse thrust activates. As soon as I move the lever forward again, the propeller goes to normal position.
What I have managed so far is that I can activate reverse thrust with the button on the axis, but then I have to move the lever forward to control reverse thrust. However, I just want full 100% reverse thrust as soon as I pull the throttle all the way down…
If you set the throttle detent to “throttle decrease”, it will probably produce the result you want by pulling the throttle all the way back into the detent. The reverse thrust will be full, and not adjustable.
I have installed the TBM 930 enhanced mod from the market place but it is the default g3000 when i load the tbm. I had the original g3000 mod which i removed when i installed this one. Is there something that I have to do to make it work? reinstalled the older mod?
Is there a chance that the overhead lightning gets a upgrade…for me its hard to see if the Nav Light or Strobe light or the Auto Fuel button is really on..especially during the night even if the light is swichted on
That’s not too silly! I think it would catch everyone off guard unless they were a serious stickler for the checklist. There was never a way to have it start like that in the past.
