Smaller sun/moon are here in 2024.
How’s it look for the VR peeps with real-world scale? Is this finally finished?

Did my first flight in FS24 today, and - while admiring the sheer beauty of the new sim - I noticed the moon. I must admit I actually find it a bit too small now. But maybe I’m just nitpicking
Idea for a feature request: introduce a moon-size slider in General Options!
yea the moon was clearly too big in 2020, but now it seems a tad too small … haha
The 2024 moon is too small for me too in VR. Which got me questioning - why oh why - that should seem so bloody hard to get right…
I mean, think about it. Every human being on this planet, which of course goes for Asobo developers, has looked up and gazed at a Rising Full Moon countless times in their life, so much so, that it should simply be a no-brainer to get the size right >>>>
~ Put on a headset and look at it…
~ Hmmm, too small, so let’s make it a bit bigger.
~ No, now that’s too big so let’s make it a bit smaller.
Ahhhh… now that’s about perfect! THAT looks like the moon I’ve seen hundreds of times in my life! Let’s lock it down there.
You’d think that could have been done one afternoon between morning coffee and lunchtime in the Asobo studios at some point.
Such a bummer, because even if everything else in FS2024 was released without a bug, without a fix this one thing alone would keep me going back to 2020 pretty regularly. It’s so fabulous to take off at night under heavy cloud cover, and break through the cloud tops into a full moon night.
Yeah, it was too big in 2020, but the way it lit the clouds (which is somewhat absent in 2024) and the distinct presence of it was certainly much better, albeit even with it being too large.
… and don’t even get me started on the overly exposed Milky Way. It was almost too bright in 2020, but if ever seen in an extremely dark sky it was very near to correct.
