More Physics, More Real Winds

Useless reply to a person that is unaware of Mathematics, physics, or Finance, to call it Marketing finance of MSFS2020 with simple bugs for months…

Lets see compared to my understanding of physics and holding your hope for months, will see when Asobo and Microsoft will take your hopes seriously. In the mean time the money is flowing in, which is also called in algorithmic trading, Spoofing the Market.

And that’s one of x-planes major weakpoints.
It’s a great tool if you want to design a fantasy aircraft with weird shapes, wing configuration etc. and you will get an approximate idea, how or if it flies at all.

The problem is the finetuning, which is next to impossible (without hacking) within x-planes very basic calculations.
With the FSX/P3D like design you can really finetune everything you want.

With MSFS we finally have propwash simulated. It’s already there, but it still needs finetuning.

The major problem for Asobo is that they have to design a one-size-fits-all aerodynamic model, which is very difficult.

By the way, Do you know why a pilot like me can stay with your kind of hopes for months and years, because while I am contributing my valuable time to your hopes, the money is entering into my bank account without lifting a finger… I am being paid by the Gods and thin air, while investing my time in your hopes, to say the least.

Right now, give me a entire worlds worth of stunning scenery and the FBW 320 mod to fly any day over what X-plane has to offer. It didn’t take long for the Zibo 737 to appear in order to satisfy simmers need for a “study level freeware” aircraft in X-plane back in the day either. Same complaints, different sim.

There will be plenty of 3rd party aircraft down the line to bridge the gap for study level type aircraft in MSFS. So given the choice, I 'll take the ‘scenery sim’ and pay for the aircraft that will come later, as opposed to a world full of ■■■■ scenery to fly around in with a " quality aircraft " . You’ll spend a whole lot more cash enhancing a worlds worth of scenery versus a few decent payware aircraft in the long run.

Last but not least I’ll respect a real-life pilots critical opinions (they’re are plenty out there) about sim aircraft physics any day over a pretend pilots totally unqualified opinions. I’m not directing that toward anyone personally, that’s just the general rule of thumb I go by.

And being a retired truck driver for a living, I certainly see enough over on the ATS and ETS forums to demonstrate what I mean, although I fully acknowledge it’s based on a lower skill level.

Have you paid attention that I have not mentioned X-plane for sometime now? Thank you… You should forget about X-plane, I am here for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2030.

Great, maybe you could refrain from posting for the next nine years

I want to see, when Microsoft and Asobo, will take us seriously, while they have already taken our money.

You should have never mentioned it in your OP then Mr.Toast.

X-Plane claims to have propwash in their model. But I will trust your better judgment on these things.

I am eager to see how their implementation of rotary wing aviation will look like.

Helicrafts are far away may be 2022, in the mean time money is there for us to hope, simple physics will be solved next week.

I have absolutely no problem with that. MSFS is (at least for me) by far the most immersive flightsim, much better than expected (concerning immersion)
If the systems and flight dynamics are further improved, great, but if it’s a desktop sim or even a Level D sim, nothing comes even remotely close to flying a real aircraft.

The last level D sim I tried ran on FSX/P3D, so MSFS is far better than that already lol.

Same for me, X-Plane never really made me feel immersed at all.

By the way, we can also make some freelance requests from Aboso. We can tell them, everyone over here loves MSFS2020, very very very much, And we are all prepaid(prepared) to add another 50 USD, each one, to the humble team of developers, to solve the problem by the end of Next month, I am sure at least 2000 freedom pilots will be willing to pay for our complex physics engine… Vote for this, and you will have Microsoft, and Asobo, humbly bow down to our needs.

In addition, we can have some fast voting system with live payments income attached, and a new economical system created under the platform of MSFS20xx-Money ideas, and every month we can have new features to the simulator, with real ideas, not simple bug physics, that take months to resolve.
By the way if all of you care for our hoping, this is no great task for Asobo Team of finances… We don’t care for 50-100 USD every two months relative to the hoping time wasted in our autopilot trading…

Regarding crosswinds / gusts, the wind interface looks a bit different after the update with the option of setting both direction and speed in kts for the gusts.
(Or, they changed it earlier and I hadn’t seen it 'til now.) :man_shrugging:

Oh, now that looks promising

That is really great, Thank you for sharing, but do you know how much time does it take to change some values in the complex equations of physics in order to add some decoration to the graphics of Wind menu?

Yeah that’s new in this Update

Maybe you should stop hoping, do some testing of your own, post videos for everyone else to assess, so far I’ve only seen you posting X-plane video’s. I believe you were the one asking for videos all the time, its time to deliver now…

So far I’m not convinced this has been a good use of anybody their time. Think we would have gotten to the point much quicker without your expertise and outstanding knowledge about physics. I hope you have learned something from all the valuable time we have invested into educating you at least . Anyway you could also make yourself useful by voting these items up:
