Mouse Can Leave Primary Monitor

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
This happens randomly but sometimes the sim will allow the mouse to leave the primary sim windows. Usually entering and editing a flight may trigger the behavior. It is not consistent.

It’s a problem in VR as it causes a loss of control, and you have no idea what is going on. While the impact is bad in VR, I’m putting it in this category as it happens outside of VR as well.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

It seems to impact about half of my flights.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Have more than one monitor on a PC
  2. Move between active flight and menus.
  3. Check to see if mouse stays inside the sim’s display or can move out.

For me it’s ok to let the mouse move between different monitors. At least when not in VR

Outside of VR is actually a good thing. Since you can undock EFB and Coms and various other stuff on other screen, it would be horrible if I would need to alt tab just to get the mouse go out of the primary screen. For me in VR wasn’t an issue till now, but I can understand if you have problem with it. But when not in VR having the mouse locked in the primary screen would be very bad.

Normally the sim locks the mouse in VR and unlocks in 2D. There is some kind of bug that will let it drift out. Although I haven’t had it happen in a while.
