Mouse cursor lock to screen lost in VR

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Using VR with a PC multi-monitor setup the mouse loses the ability to lock to the MSFS application. Because of this the mouse will then move over to the other monitor and therefore focus on the MSFS application is lost when clicking.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time if fly in VR.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Multi-monitor PC setup - MSFS is run full screen

  2. Fly in VR - alt-tab to a second app to change something and then alt-tab back into MSFS

  3. From then on the mouse does not lock to MSFS any longer when MSFS has focus. Mouse will move over and out of the focused MSFS application

  4. Only workaround is to disable second screen completely

YOUR SETTINGS

PC, Windows 10, RTX 4090, i9-14900 KF - Full screen

With the new intrroduced single eye rendering this is a must.
I have a 49” Ultrawide monitor and want to record and / or stream my flights with OBS studio.
In the past I was able to use one of the 2 images and transform it in OBS.
Now, when I use the image on my super wide screen I lose a lot in the vertical.
I can run MSFS in a window (32:9 ratio) and it would be perfect, but as the cursor is not locked to that window, it’s a NoGo, sadly.

Is it the same issue than reported here ?: Sim does not restrict mouse to active screen when in VR

Sound exactly like the other topic. I did find a workaround, but its not a “solution” If you make sure your mouse cursor is centered in the screen while looking straight forward and then activate VR more chances than not it works and the mouse cursor stays focused on the VR screen. Occasionally it does not though.
