For some reason, maybe because i run ms addon linker as admin, i cant get batch files to work via ms addon linker and for that matter neither via msfs’s exe.xml
has anyone had any success with this ?

Hi what do you want to do with your bat show your file if you run the file in a cmd console in admin, does it work?
For me exe.xml works flawlessly, day in day out, have been working since the last two years or so.
Do you start MSFS with admin rights by any chance? If you launch it from MSFS addons linker and MSFS addons linker has been started with admin rights, then that’s also the same thing.
Maybe so, but are you using it to launch a .bat file?
@bigdaddyPittPA Could you post here the content of that batch file? If it really doesn’t work we might be able to come up with a workaround, or alternative.
Well, no, not batch files. The applications directly. Some of the entries are added from installers of other addons like fenix and maddogx, and some others are added by me.
If a batch file needs to be run, then the path and command needs to be determined and specified properly. There are two XML tags, and , the path should point to the cmd.exe location. I am not too sure exactly what should go in the Command line tag but the path to the batch file should go in their, will need to experiment with it to confirm.
I’ve not tried executables with arguments, but if that worked that would be one way to do it.
I was able to get this working with addon linker, seems my batch file syntax worked too quickly, i put a pause delay in it and things worked just fine, second part of the batch file was to reset things after it would close, since it didnt run the check quick enough no change was ever made in the first place, made me think it wasnt working haha
