Ms2024 - can't get rid of static traffic

Hi

I am struggling to remove static a/c in 2024. I only ever fly on VATSIM, & these area an unwanted nuisance. There’s even a GLIDER with a Push Back Tug at YSSY Sydney!!! REALLY?

Can anyone offer advice?

Yes you can.. Set “traffic airport quality” to “off” in global rendering quality in the “graphics” submenu.

Yeah, hopefully it gets turned back into a slider instead of “all or nothing”. I don’t mind a few statics, particularly at GA airports.

I’m afraid that this might be the only way to completely disable traffic and static aircraft. Unfortunately it seems that Asobo overlooked something and I hope they will address this by adding separate options that we can disable individually.

Yes the problem is that you also have the airport detail on off (also the vehicles) - I already asked for an option in the wishlist to simply deactivate the parked aircraft - if the wishlist is online, please vote !!!

Then there are still the generic static traffics there like MSFS2020 (Asobo-aircraft-generic-airliner-twinengines, Asobo-aircraft-generic-airliner-quadengines…)

Yeah! They marketed FS2024 with a lot of new models for traffic and they still give us everytime I go in a big airport the airboeing generic airliners… Bad

Have I got news for you. You can switch of static aircraft off and on :slight_smile:

Go to: Settings > General > Graphics > Global Rendering Quality >Advanced Settings (click the down arrow up beside Global Rendering Quality)

Scroll down and turn OFF ‘Parked Aircraft Quantity’ and ‘Aircraft Traffic Quantity’.

At that time - specifically December 1st, 2024 - this option did not exist yet.
The fact that it is available now is something we are fully aware of, because this is exactly what we asked for.
