MSFS 2020 is now not accessible (30 November 2024)

Hello…
The Sim finally loaded on the 19th and 20th of November. On the 21st, all I saw at loading was a QUIT TO DESKTOP. There was no start button.

I tried to start the sim every morning since—the same Quit to Desktop option.

This morning I tried…and I saw the start button…and the sim loaded to the game.

Of course…I had to quit the sim and reload with my Warthog throttle and joystick and TrackIR loaded first.

I restarted the sim with my hardware loaded, and guess what? I’m back to the Quit to Desktop option again.

I am going crazy with frustration. I retried the sim a couple of times. All failed.

HELP!!!~

I may have to go back.

now it’s working in Portugal

Having no joy connecting to MSFS 2020. Looks like they’ve broken both sims. Congratulation Asobo! Quite the accomplishment.

So…after my last message. I restarted my system…and did not load my Warthog joystick, throttle, or TrackIR. Thinking they were the only things different from when the sim loaded 30 minutes ago.

Well…I am back to the QUIT TO DESKTOP message again. No start Button.

So…it’s not the hardware being loaded to cause it to not start.

Back to square one, I guess…

I was just mid flight EGCC - KEWR PMDG 777 Real Time no time compression. Got to about 80 NM of TD and poof the sim just crashed. Has not happened in about 2 years.

What on earth is going on? Yesterday was trying the same route in the A330 in MSFS 2024, became a micro stutter fest as I got to new found land.

I feel like it is all in a poor state.

Hi, I’m located in Germany, just did a 90min session.
Beautiful flight, no problems whatsoever.

Hi! After updating gpu drivers 3080 I have the same problem - I cant start MSFS2024 because ntdll. I reinstalled drivers, updated Win10, made scan /fc . I noteced that after updating drivers I cant load MSFS2020 (before I have never had problems with MSFS2020 and completed a lot of flights over 10hrs long), but if I turn off overlay Nvidia, MSFS2020 starts. Unfortunatly, it doesnt help with MSFS2024

This is Beloved Co Pilots latest screenshot ot the Cessna 172 over Oxford which was made after the Sim came back to life after this Server issue.
We’re keeping a very careful eye out for any degradation of the graphical elements and overall quality of our beloved Sim. There could well be a slight difference and this image appears to be slightly less defined.
Whether this is owing to current Server problems or a purposeful degradation of the overall image quality is anyones guess.

Yeah that’s because this problem occurred yesterday. You’re about 24 hours late.

Hey, not sure if you fixed it but mine did the same and I kept restarting for it to keep asking do I want to start in Safe Mode or Normal so I did Safe mode and it allowed me to do the update that it was trying to do prior. All working now.

Issues ended for me around late afternoon yesterday - US Eastern time. Before that it was start, hang, restart, crash, restart…

With a combination of persistence and patience, I was finally able to get a couple of good flights in yesterday evening before I headed out for some “liquid bread.” Thanks to the team behind the curtains for all the hard work getting things back up and running!

Actually, I haven’t had any problems here in Hannover/Germany. Only after the last update the altitude profile wasn’t right. In EDDV I had lots of ditches at the airport, I was able to ride the rollercoaster with the Airbus. But at the moment everything is OK again.
