Hello. MSFS 2020 News and Updates are hard to find now on this website (flightsimulator.com).
As MSFS 2024 is most highlighted now at the expense of MSFS 2020, informations about MSFS 2020 become hard to find on this website (update news, development roadmap of MSFS 2020, etc…). There is already a MSFS 2020 section on the homepage but it is mixed with and overwritten by MSFS 2024 news.
May I suggest to put a more clear and dedicated section for MSFS 2020 on the homepage for Development roadmap and updates? Thanks for the great job of the community.
I don’t think there is a specific development roadmap for 2020. 2020 is what it is and you might be lucky if new features for 2024 will be back ported to 2020.
Why should there be a separate dev roadmap for 2020. That would mean the 2 paths will diverge. this is not desirable from a developers perspective.
Just FYI (and doesn’t negate your concerns at all!), in the last Dev Livestream, they did provide some information on the road ahead for MSFS 2020. Specifically, they indicated they plan a SU 16.1 (timing TBD which addresses the Nvidia streamline DLL crash, and a SU17 in summer of 2026 (although their slide said 2017, but I don’t think they’ve got the time machine working right to meet that timeline!). Specific features and timing TBD. City updates and World updates for 2020 to coincide with their releases to MSFS 2024.
