Msfs 2020 not running correctly (warning a running process may be interfering)

Hi TheSevenflyer!

I did everything you wrote, more times… plus a complete reinstall of the sim with no AV/Firewall installed…but the error appears every startup… the pc is almost new (only gpu…), I esclude HW problems… maybe something in the win registry or with permissions…I don’t know… but between the last time it worked and the error passed few days with no win update and no new addon installed

Thansk again for your help!

these warning message is in generally not new and not related to msfs only. If you check big-google you will notice that others come allmost to same result as we here : “some kind of anti-virus-solution” block parts in WinApps…folder…

There are some rare other cases where another applications caused that, as the info-message mentioned too ( some overlays or some OC tools running in parallel ). Ensure that realy no tools are running… close all of them, in special some of the best-of-mainboard-tool, no discord, no team-viewer, nothing… The most users installing some tools on here PC , but tell us “they formated the pc and have clean windows” , therefore I’am in meanwhile double-check that.

Also ensure that all updates are installed. Double check in window-update dialog , etc…
And do a windows cleanup with selecting the shader-cache ( if that was realy the reason ).

And I realy found one post ( different game and while ago of course ) where the usually Nahimic service caused that ( yep, I was also surprised ). So, its may be worth to check whether you have such a service and if so then disable it. ( or simple , try a test with disabled windows audio service ).

And how you start the application ? Did you start it also with the “desktop shortcut.” as the former user ?
I remember a strange issue where a Steam-Desktop-Link also caused and issue and user can start the application as he used the Steam-app itself ( not the shortcut ).

EDIT: here is the post

https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/warning-notice-screen-on-start-up-remains/493942?u=michamma

It souds realy like the same as @KingofSalt2075 reported , but just for xbox-shortcut.

Thus: please check how you start the application !

sim is stable for a lot of people, such a complex program is never ever going to run on
every computer. (because of different hardware.,firmware , drivers, etc etc etc. and not
very savvy people).

This is the last thing that worked. You might or might not have to reinstall your graphic driver, can do it’s no big deal at all. won’t affect anything. Go and delete the contents of this folder. ( i couldn’t delete them all because some are in use, but i deleted what i could ) . Processing: New Bitmap Image.bmp…

as I mentioned in the other topic, we not know why this happend. But it seems there is a relation to that , independen of Steam-Shortcut or MS-Store-Shortcut. May be these created “URLs” becomes invalid and will be refreshed with the first start… or may there is somewhere a windows cache… or or… who knows.

But it may also explain why not many users run into the issue. I assume most users start the app from the “Store” ( which ever ) directly.

But what we can see is, what I mentioned: users do allways a little tiny step we not know and this makes it soooo hard to give quick-hints.

I have this message now since two days ago. Uninstalling the Google Maps replacement addon fixed it.

I’m pretty sure it’s a process problem, I meet this warning and can’t make it fix, so I tried to creat a new windows account, so there is no waste process. and it works.
And also if I logined the two accounts at the same time, I still got this warning, I can only play the game with my new windows account.

update1, The warning comes back to me, I have no idea what can do.

I had this and gave up trying to fix it. Countless hours trying Microsoft fixes that like the Gaming Services “fixes” never worked. Not want you want to hear maybe but I gave up and did a clean install of Windows, that fixed it, but I have a top end rig with 2 x NVME SSD’s and fast internet.

I take it this problem does not affect you and your sim is stable. Thanks for your advice and invaluable help.
Not.
