MSFS 2020 + VR Hand Tracking = True!

Hand Tracking in MSFS 2020, yep it actually works pretty well!

Check out my tutorial (and showcase) on how to set it up:

Works with any Leap Motion module and any VR headset, using the UltraLeap Gemini 5.2 runtime and the Driver Leap plugin for SteamVR:

Try it out and let me know what you think!

Ok, you have my attention. I might fire up FS2020 just to look at this.

Can it work with WMR OpenXR (Reverb G2) instead of SteamVR OpenXR - because that won’t work well with G2?

I think I already replied to you on Youtube, but unfortunately I dont think it will work, unless you use SteamVR as renderer. The plugin is only compatible with SteamVR as far as I know.

BTW I created the post in the wishlist, quoting your video, please vote here: this is how VR SHOULD be like. And there’s nothing preventing it from working that way, if Asobo wants to do it. Look at the second video I included. That’s what I’m talking about… It needs native support.

Installed everything as shown in the video.
Unfortunately is does not work. No leap icon shows in the SteamVR window and no controllers appear.
What did I do wrong or what did I miss.
I am using a Pimax 5K+ whit the Pimax Handtracking module and the latest version of Pi-Tool and SteamVR.

Brilliant ! Even if it’s not perfect, that’s the way VR should go
I have an old Leap module and going to test asap
