I uninstalled last night, then left it overnight to re install. The problem continues.
I’m left feeling as though ms just don’t care, the number of times I’ve read of people re-installing Windows, to no effect - and the countless hours of re-installing and ‘tinkering’ that doesn’t work, ‘the problem must be your pc’ - buy another … Never any word from them.
Kind of a sadness really rather than anger, I’ve spent a lot of money in 2+ years in the Marketplace, help keep them financially afloat kind of thing.
Sadly again, I see 2020 slowly being abandoned and left in a poor shape. I’ve very carefully watched all threads re 2024 (haven’t bought it yet) and 5 months later …. what can you say.
Part of my Marketplace budget was spent this morning, I bought x-plane 12….why? - because it apparently works. They’ve recently mada a lot of improvements to the graphics engine, which always troubled me from what I saw.
I just don’t feel I can invest any further in ms.
Maybe I’ll take a look back at ms in a couple of years, maybe I’ll be entrenched in x-plane by then.
Yep, ms store ver. wont shut down cleanly. Have to use task manager. Seems to be a microsoft store ver problem. Since it`s 2020 I doubt if Asobo or microsoft will bother now. They seem to have given up now with 2020.
Mine seemed to shut down bur I found it still running when I looked at the Steam App. Shut it down there.
The update installed itself 2 hours ago and the problem is there.
It will not shut down. I have to use Task manager to shut it.
This is unacceptable from Microsoft. 
Count me in with having this behavior. Easy enough to reboot or use Task Manager, but annoying.
It always scares me to shut down FS2020 ungracefully, as a couple of times over the years I’ve lost my sim settings. Store version.
Glad it’s not just me.
This was a problem with FS2024 and the latest update seems to have ported it over to 2020.
Maybe when they fix it it’ll fix 2020 too.

My MFS 2020 wont load after the new update !
I raised this to the CMs last night, but it likely won’t get looked at until Monday.
The same happens with me every time since the last update… Is Asobo going to fix this?

It’s strange you’re all having shutdown issues still as mine have magically disappeared
