Sim hangs at Quit to Desktop


ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

As per title, attempting to leave the sim properly using the Quit to Desktop causes the sim to hang. The screen freezes with the dialog box open and needs to be shutdown in Task Manager.

Did not occur on launch, introduced with 1.1.9.0

Nothing loaded in community.

Every time.

• I had this issue with 1.1.7.0 and it occurred on every flight.
This morning on 1.1.9.0 the Sim closed cleanly for the first time.

Same here. Need to end the process via task manager

Same here…freezing either when ending a Flight or when trying to quit via “quit to desktop”. Task Manager must be used…happens 9 out of 10

I have the same issue. Freeze/crash when ending a flight or exiting. CPU goes suddenly to 0% utilisation on msfs process, sound continues and interface is frozen. I left it like this for over 1h to see if it shuts down eventually. It didn’t.
Have to end task on almost every exit.

• Nothing extra to add, after clicking “Quit To Desktop” the sim becomes unresponsive, never closes and I have to use task manager to end the process.

MSFS 2024 - CTD - CTD would happen after 30 mins approx. of flying.

I managed to fix my CTD in free-flight mode. I reverted the swap file back in DLSS swapper to 2.4.12.0 - No more crashes.

UPDATE: CTD has returned, even after todays small patch 2/12/2024

Yes, but not every time.

This usually happens when I do not quit immediately after a flight, but leave the game running while I work on something else, such as reading forum posts. When I return to quit, I cannot, so have to kill the app in task manager.
