Good lord how childish, the forum is for problems, you have problems at startup, not waiting a year or so

A year or so? You must not have read the post I linked to. You only need to spend a few minutes on the forum and make a few posts (such as these) to gain enough trust to create a topic. And frankly, if you DO spend a few minutes reading, there are topics on almost every aspect of FS2020 and FS2024. Try it and you’ll see.

I been in this forum for days still cannot post new threads

Hi @NosyPuddle905, I just checked your profile, you are Trust Level 1 which means you do have permission to create topics.

Normal users can’t create topics in the root categories i.e. Discussion Hub, you have to be in a subcategory such as Discussion Hub > General Discussion

Good idea also to do a few searches before starting a new topic. There are a LOT of threads already out there, and your message/question might find more readers if it is posted in a popular thread rather than a new one that many might just pass over. A suggestion from experience. Welcome aboard!

stupid thing, its in the initial setup you need to ask questions not after months

I am fast losing patience with this sim nothing works

such as multi monitors, Boeing 737 is missing after setup
All i got was to reinstall, but for that do I need to uninstall the sim??

A reinstallation takes 6 hours to re-download everything

maybe, I am not made out of time for this sim that hos no manuals, no access to menus as in P3D nothing, I cannot even access my installed FSUIPC to setup my home cockpit, it is hidden somewhere not be found :frowning:

I am losing interest in the basic sim very fast sadly
a waste of money and nothing works

What you need to remember though is that the higher you are, the more of the world is in your view so something has to give for you to see so many pieces. The clouds are only like you portray if there is no significant weather. When there are major storms around you, the details really come out. And cartoonish? Hardly. While certainly less detailed (that’s how LOD systems work), if you think back to the state of flight sim just a decade ago, the realism we are seeing is amazing.

Indeed! That’s usually how it goes. Even the most amazing things get taken for granted way too soon and people forget what we had to make do not very long ago. If this looks cartoonish please call me Bugs Bunny!

Does it always look like that? No, that’s the pitfalls of dynamic live weather. But even at its worse it’s still above and beyond anything that we had only 6 short years ago, including the juiced up REX clouds.

100% of the screenshots, No.

0% of the screenshots posted are of a runway from 3 miles out.

This is the MOST important view a pilot sees. Is it so bad no-one dares post a screenshot?

Wha? You ask questions but you don’t seem to like the answers if they contradict your own preconceived ideas…

I don’t have any screenshots but does this help? It’s in SU3…

The posts I answered to were about the clouds. But same difference with the terrain and airports. You should fire up FSX or P3D for a little reminder of how far we’ve come.

Q&D screen grabs from my stream.

The bottom two were literally my last two flights; the top was the last straight-in approach (well, an ILS with a circle to land) I’d done prior to those.

I think the sim looks great overall. It’s been really accurate and pretty of late. My last flight had a lot of layers. Any issues I’m seeing in regard to weather depiction, terrain inconsistencies, etc, are getting fewer and farther between. I can’t agree that 3 miles out is the most important thing a pilot sees (the approach into GTF I broke out at about 2 miles, right on the money for the conditions at the time) as we tend to overemphasize the aesthetics in the sim to the point where we’re looking for the “money shot,” but I digress.

Really enjoying the sim.
