You were so right
This did not age very well
Well I’ll give it a try.
Maybe it’ll fix crashes when closing the sim at least
They actually meant a hundredth of bugs.
(being ironic)
If they don’t fix the multiple VR bugs in today’s patch I will be extremely angry.
Today? When? It’s nearly midnight in Europe
they said: “working hours Seattle office”
I’ve only gone to 128Gb - that’ll be why I’m still getting CTDs when trying to fly close to London. Time to go 512Gb
So… we need to wait minimum to 2025 for fix basic functionality of VR
Great
The new update made the Xbox version essentially unplayable. (Video in the bug report.)
Now I’m not sure the simulator is merely not ready for release. Now I’m not even sure the developers actually know what they’re doing.
I’ll give them until June to see if they fixed the game….
What are you going to do after June?
Im predicting he will then have to wait until December…
2025 or 2026?
Lord only knows…
I think they meant ‘create’ hundred of bugs.
A short note from my side again:
Just out of curiosity I did install xPlane12 and was instantly able to start a flight.
Did test a few other sims like Assetto Corsa Competizione, F1 24, Forza Horizon, Forza Motorsport, DCS World …
All of them had no issues on my system. This leads me to the conclusion that MSFS 2024 must be the root cause of the problem and not my system.
In addition to this I did several software assisted stresstest and performancetests of the whole system. It did pass all tests without issues.
On performanceTest my system is ranked within the top 3% of all tests performed.
I did also use OCCT and Memtest86 (to check specific on the RAM)
Given the above I am still confused why MS is still thinking it is due to my system. The tests with other sims, and the stresstests did not show any issues.
Latest recommendation was to reinstalling my OS.
This is unbelievable.
I did several tests and non of them is showing any issues, only FS2024 and they still insist it is based on my system.
It is like driving the wrong direction on the highway and start complaining that everone else is driving the wrong direction.
I guess the next recommendation will be that I relocate myself into seatle and throw a network cable over the fence of MS. This might be the easierst solution
I gave up on testing, just in case someone intents to buy the game and reads this. I would recommend to do a 1 month sub on gamepass and test the game before any purchase!
if you are able to run the sim, just go ahead and by and enjoy it. if not you have only wasted a few €/$
So… I uninstalled everything. Installed everything again.
Still the same the same issue:
The runway is blurry at landing. Some parts are okay, some are blurry. Even at such an airport as Ibiza where is no photogrammetry is loaded, this issue is still there
All the changes I made are never been saved and so I’m done with 2024. I’ll ask for a refund because they just refuse to test before coming with an “update”. Probably back in 6 months or so, the refund is more a statement that Asobo and MS can’t release a game like this. It’s beyond believable to me but maybe it’s just me.
