MSFS 2024 part refund for non-usability on release day

I seriously hope MS and Asobo don’t get caught out with server jams as they are now depending a lot on online running of the game ;o(

Yeah, wouldn’t be a problem because marketplace isn’t working and most (read all) 3de party developers have lots of trouble transfering to 2024

Easiest 50 bucks ms/asorbo could earn.

No, start with a full refund of 2024, go back to the drawing board and come back when you finally have something that , I don’t know, ACTUALLY works on release.
(Knowing ms/asrobo that will be somewhere between 2250 and the heat death of earth)

Will Microsoft offer some sort of level of discount for customers with pre-orders made prior release and no usability of the software package on release day ?

Let’s say you ordered a new car. It arrived at the dealer and you went to pick it up but when you went to take it home it had a flat tire. The dealer didn’t have a tire in stock and had to get it from a warehouse. It wouldn’t get to the dealer till the next day. Would you expect a discount? ROFL if you think they’d give you money back…

It’s pretty standard industry practice to get compensated for outages for things like your TV/internet going out, I think that is a better analogy here.

Erm, no it isn’t.

You aren’t subscribing to anything, so no, no it isn’t.

When you pay a monthly fee yes, but that’s not the case here…

In any case, read the room. MSobo needs to learn its lesson from bad PR so that the MSFS2028 launch isn’t so bad.

MS isn’t going to do anything because they know that once the server issues are resolved, all of us will dive into playing and this will soon become a bad memory. It’s human nature, and that’s what they’re depending on.

Maybe they will or maybe they won’t. Ranting and raving won’t solve the issue tho.

When something is this big, the impact of bad PR on sales is almost certainly measurable.

I paid £129.99 for something I supposed to be able to use today ! That is a lot of money to me anyway…I am sure other people will also agree!

LOTS of people took off work today and got screwed. (thankfully not me)

I bought the PD version also and had and still have no intention of attempting to install for at least a week if not more. I understand the frustration but come on… The ranting doesn’t help anything and has already mucked up the forum.

that was some high level optimism

I love how people can sit in their pretend airliners for hours crossing the ocean, but then suddenly demand compensation because they cannot log in to fly their pretend airliners across the ocean with in the first few hours of release.

Or maybe, just maybe, in the future LLMs are going to read and analyze these forums in order to recommend changes to business practices, and it’s best if there’s zero doubt how mad everyone is.

This is excatley why a bought a one month game pass ultimate subscription and will try out on there before committing to silly money. Wonder if people who bought it on disc are having the same problem? Or can you even buy a hard copy?

Well when people are sitted on a plane they are recieving what they payed for. We payed for Asobo/MS to play on day one, and we didn’t get it.
