It is also MSI
The M.2 slot is PCIe-3 but by the age of the board I’d say it likely supports NAND only drives.
You really need to check the board’s manual
edit: NVMe gen3 is supported
NVMe is supported … PCIe 3 but you can also use PCIe 4. Beware you will lose 2 SSD slots
Loading takes ages on initial startup so here If there’s an improvement I would be tempted to go for something faster if it’s compatible
It will certainly help load times
I will remove my other installed drives so I’m all good there then ?
Keep my system more simpler on a single faster hard drive.
I have a 500GB 980 pro and a 1TB Crucial P3, I like them both. The Crucial is the better deal and you can easily apply a [Momentum] ram cache in the firmware app (Crucial Storage Executive).
Cheers mate I’ll grab that crucial p3 plus as has good reviews too. Thanks for your help. Now to read up on making a windows boot usb stick. It’s all changed since I was installing windows with floppy startup boot disks and cd roms.
Don’t forget the cassette tapes! (my dad had a franchise for Commodore, lost him a fortune )
Good luck with your new drive
love it
Same here. Xbox app did the same thing. It won’t update. “Something went wrong” . Totally screwed without it. No disc to reinstall. Genius idea?
Reinstall Gaming Services and Xboxx app
