Thanks, Im afraid i think i will have to leave ot as its all a bit to comploicated for me, i dont know nhowm to open port 4000 in my firewall and i lookd at the forum you linked it says i have to do this thing called a powershell ccommand and it all seems very complicatyed and i would rather not mess about with my computer settings to much incase I mess anything up, but thanks again for your help, I am sure its a very useful app but just not that easy for nerps like myself!
Donāt worry. No need to do any powershell - just a couple of simple clicks in the Windows settings. Do you have a wifi or ethernet connection on your PC? Iām asking so I can guide you where you need to click.
Thanks Topper, I did discover the option to change the setting to private in the settings but even that was to no avail
Sorry to hear that. If that didnāt help then itās probably your firewall blocking the app. Unfortunately, I canāt really help with firewall settings because there are just too many possibilities - software, hardware, different systems.
Anyway, I do hope you manage to solve it so you can fly with this app.
This is a great app thanks so much for creating it.
Are you able to add a trim wheel (or similar), flaps and gear (up down toggle) on the panel page? Would then be close to complete.
Also wondering if its possible to add the GPS direct line like the in game IVR at all to help make sure weāre flying a direct(ish) route.
Thanks again this is a truely amazing app simple to setup as well!
Would also be great for some quick ATC response buttons as well (even better if it shows the ATC chat text and response options)
Thanks for the feedback! Iāll be adding additional functionalities gradually. These include among others:
- Load your current flight plan and basic custom waypoint navigation
- Flaps/gear and possibly a trim wheel
- UI improvements such as map split-screen for tablets in landscape mode.
ATC, however, is a bit tricky because there is no way currently to read out the ATC chat options. You can emulate the buttons (0 to 9), but not with the text next to it. Without it, ATC doesnāt make much sense.
This is good, and has the potential to be brilliant⦠good luck
I have been using this on my iPad and I like it very much.
Just wanted to say thank you for this freeware tool.
@Topper1988 I love the app so far.
Is it possible now, or could you make it possible, to remove showing your planeās location on the map?
It would be really nice to not have that when Iām flying VFR in a 152 with no GPS. I still want to use the map for VFR navigation, but I donāt want to see the planeās location as it makes navigating a bit too easy
Thanks for the great tip! Iāll put it on my to-do list. Technically, itās not a big thing to implement. I just have to make sure that the āHide planeā button is properly placed and that the UI works on various screen sizes. I wonāt give you an ETA, but Iāll add it.
Just a quick note to say thank you for this app. It is fantastic and I canāt wait to see how it develops.
Thanks a lot! I still have ideas and features I want to implement so Iām not done with the app.
Hello,
Itās seems āMAGNETIC_COMPASSā value reflect TRUE HEADING in your app.
Is it right ?
Where can I find AIRPLANE TRUE HEADING information ?
Thank you very much
True magnetic airplane heading is stored under the variable PLANE_HEADING_DEGREES. MAGNETIC_COMPASS is used to show the heading of the plane on the map. The names of the variables are a bit misleading.
Hope this helps.
Yes you are wright. But donāt put āTrue, Magnetic, Headingā together it doesnāt exists : only true heading or magnetic heading is correct.
Itās seems correct to me the variable are swapped.
MAGNETIC_COMPASS variable is TRUE HEADING = MAGNETIC HEADING + DECLINATION
However : good job !!!
Thank you for allowing us to disable the planeās position on the map!
Kudos for this app. I use it quite often on one of my added monitors as well as on an iPad. Great work!
@FlyinJPetrol this was a requested feature for some time now so Iāve added it. Never thought about it at first, but it makes a lot of sense, especially for the bush trips.
@SnoopierTunic30 Iām happy to help. I actually started building the app for myself so I donāt have to use the mouse to change NAV frequencies etc.
