Since HPG handed the project over to a different developer, and sim updates are about 4x a year, I’d be very surprised if any substantial improvements happened before the middle of the year.
That said, we don’t know exactly who the developer in charge of the helicopter is now, or how much work they need to do from scratch versus improve on stuff HPG did, so that’s a total guess.
I know I’m late to the party, but I do not like how only staff is allowed to see the results of polls on this forum. You are hiding information from users/customers and I think that most people would find the information interesting.
Honestly, the fact that you’re hiding this leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Tells me I cannot trust. Full disclosure is always the best policy when it comes to the game development industry guys.
Maybe if they kept the data in another location that users who are interested would be able to access. I think it would actually skew the data if users could see the results while they are voting.
With the shambles of a module that this has become, I think we are due a statement from Microsoft / Asobo - what are you going to do with this now that Hype have decided to let go of it? With Hype wiping their hands clean and if Microsoft / Asobo are genuinely taking this on then we need a timeline of what is happening and how it will be achieved. Many consumers paid more SPECIFICALLY for the H225 back in 2024 (yes 2024!!!) and now its 14 months later and we all still feel scammed. Our money is in this product and so far we have nothing. We don’t want a product that is inline with any of the toy-like ‘Famous Flyers’, we want a past Hype level of avionics that work.
I think the explanation has been provided clearly. HPG has lost its lead developer and he left suddenly without knowledge transfer or even no source code. HPG was in the incapacity to make change other than cosmetic and the situation has been acknowledge by Microsoft. Microsoft will restart the project with a new team but of course it will take time as probably not everything can be reused. So it is not a scam it is a difficult situation and now we have to be patient.
An explanation of the situation with HPG yes, I am talking about making this module flyable to the level that we expect. I am asking for a statement on how this will be achieved with a timeline, because, if it is not at the level of detail that is to be expected with past Hype Products then I deem this as a write off. There are a lot of people like yourself that constantly talk about being “patient” - there are just too many failures of promises and too many times that consumers who have paid a lot of money just have to hope that a product will come back or eventually will be sorted. Its embarrassing.
I agree, and with the 225 being placed within the £130 premium deluxe we deserve nothing more but quality from paying more than the standard base amount. But with HPG running away from the 225 and focusing on their own eco system I think some update or road map just some clarification on a time frame as to when we can expect updates on the 225 and who is providing the updates. This already is a high quality aircraft with a high number of bugs and one thing I do hope for is that this Helicopter receives the attention it deserves rather than an aircraft like the EC135 thats virtually grounded.
Narrow it down.
1.When can we expect updates for the H225 including features and bugs.
2.Who is going to be taking on the H225 is it going to be Asobo, or Asobo and/or a 3rd party.
3. Can we be reasurred that a high quality of detail will be met with the h225 as expected along with stricter quality control so we don’t fall into another EC135 situation.
Thanks for the clarification @TheSevenflyer. Instead of hiding in silence, its always good practice to acknowledge. When there is silence, it means there is something to hide.
I’m obviously a bit biased, but from what I have seen, I personally don’t believe there is any intent.
They always seem willing to share what info they get soon as soon as they can.
The Community team (me, @Jummivana, and @Chewwy94) do our best to read every post written on these forums. We also read player comments on other platforms where people are discussing MSFS too, such as Reddit, Discord, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Bluesky, Threads, Instatgram, TikTok, and Twitter. We then document the feedback we see from players and share that info with the producers and dev team.
If you don’t see us responding to every post here, it isn’t because we have something to hide. Most of the time, it’s because we don’t have an update we can share with you at this time. The forum Code of Conduct states the following:
If you don’t see us responding, it isn’t because we are ignoring you. Sometimes we don’t have a good answer, or we are looking for an answer or we cannot comment on the issue at the time.
We also have other work we have to do that isn’t on the forums so if you don’t see us around, we are working on something else for you!
We are in contact with the production team every day asking questions like, “A player on the forums is asking about X. What’s the current status on this?” We tend to get three responses to this:
“Here’s the update on X.”
“There is no update on X at this time.”
“Here’s the latest update on X, but some details are still in flux so we’re not ready to share information with the community yet until it’s finalized.”
As @TheSevenflyer wrote above, we always share what information we can as soon as we can.
I am sure you are all very much understanding/ frustration of this situation to the consumers of this product. Unfortunately, we are without our main man Sergio Costa (helisimmer.com) for the time being, who I know would have had some form of direct connection to either you guys or Jorg to discuss this matter further and then communicate with the rest of us.
I understand your code of conduct restricts you from saying anything until you are told but I think specifically this module should have some form of communication direct from Microsoft / Asobo regarding the timeline immediately. Hype said their goodbyes to the project and now we have all just been left in limbo with a product which is quite frankly worse than what it was on release. If we can get some kind of timeline, or even an update from what the developers are working on to implement the AP systems that we know it deserves.
