[MSFS2024] Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner

Yes a 787 Level D FFS made by CAE. MSFS 2024 definitely helped me fly it.

I have been cruising Youtube. None of the real airline pilots that flight sim have done a new video on the 787. Their videos are all about 8 months to a year old.

The fly-by-wire work was completed for AAU2 in MSFS 2020 and persists in the MSFS 2024 version.

Is the flare responsiveness the same as 2020? 2024 feels a bit slow and thus tends to land heavier.

Glad to see this active 787 discussion. If you all get the chance please check out the BUG I have filed on the AP. There are several fine points that need to be straightened out. I used to do professional flight simulator work and have a Commercial License. Like to do whatever we can to make this simulation tops since at the end of the day this is the most modern airliner we have.

B-787 - Autopilot Issue: VNAV not longer captures the GS on an ILS properly

This is not unique to the PS5. I used to have one before the XBOX long ago and you could hack it and run a Linux OS . Great platform. There is something weird about the VNAV in the 787. I have it perfected on several routes in California but I have had to enter some intermediate waypoints and make sure the plane hits those waypoints. Well , I have just started a 2020 game from gamepass and went straight into the marketplace.

There I bought the Asobo 787-10 Dreamliner for about 22 euro and after the purchase was complete I closed the game.

Then I started msfs2024 which I have on my Xbox and went to my library , but I didn’t see the plane , only the liveries that came with it.

Does someone know why my plane isn’t showing in my library nor in my planes to choose when opening free flight ?

Only thing I see that’s a plane is in the air traffic section of my library and that’s 47MB so that can’t be the plane I just purchased a minute before on 2020 because otherwise it would also has shown same as my cj3+ or citX in my library on the bottom of the list. ( there I see the (dis)abled 2020 planes )

For it to be strange I would have to know what is normal - and nothing around here seems very normal It is what it is, but reach out to Zendesk if you’re concerned.

I got back in to the 787-10 for the first time in a while, and I keep finding issues with the artwork (for lack of a better word).

1. The letters on the FMC keypad have LOD issues, if you back away from the FMC, first the decimal point disappears, then the letters, one by one.

2. Also, notice that if the VNAV > CRZ page is displayed on the left, it is missing the SEL SPD field, but if displayed on the right, the SEL SPD is there.

probably a known issue but did not find a proper solution
when i open the cockpit door of the stock 2024 Boeing 787-X in MSFS2024, navigating with keyboard and mouse, i am standing OUTSIDE of the aircraft and not in the cabin
did Asobo really modelled a cabin but forgot to have a functional cockpit door ?

I get this too, but only the default Boeing livery loads fine. To be fair, I haven’t really tried to fix it yet. You’re on Xbox, yeah? If so, that rules out my theory about wiping the stream packages cache.

Yes I’m on Xbox , I can’t do much besides clearing rolling cache I believe.

I do think though I’m not going to spend much time with it, I’m really interested in the BravoAirspace planes.

But what’s mentioned also above , I also can’t enter the cabin , when I try to open the door , I’m outside and with the free cam I can’t get trough , strangely enough on the 737max8 I can and I have passengers also but I think both these 2 things are not possible in the 787-10.

I do think that’s a bit cheap in comparison to the Asobo 737max8 where it is possible and that plane is in my standard edition, and a premium de luxe airplane can’t ? A little disappointing if you ask me.
