Copy that Thanks.
Thanks for your excellent work! I have a question: how can I learn the automatic navigation system of the C-17? I really enjoy flying the C-17, but I noticed that the flight plan from the EFB doesnât seem to load into the aircraftâs system. The LNAV and VNAV buttons donât seem to work properly for automatic navigation.
EFB Flightplan Sync is a known problem, we only had access to the new EFB Documentation recently and its currently being integrated.
VNAV is currently unsupported.
LNAV is fully supported, however, you must have a valid flightplan with no discontinuities entered on the FMS system. It also has a few tricks that you must understand - for example, you must do a Direct To next waypoint to engage LNAV if you have already flown past the first waypoint in your flightplan.
Its all documented on the manual: Automatic Flight System | Miltech Simulations Documentation Hub
VR Scale Problem
In VR the cockpit scale is way off, the PFD and all displays are far to big, the autopilot controls are far to large compared to real life, the cockpit as a whole other than switches are scaled to high, making you feel like a lego man flying a real plane
This has been discussed above and its being tracked - the cockpit is accurately modeled to a tolerance of approx 5%, which is as good as it gets without 3D Scans or any other method of accurate measurements given the fact that the aircraft is in restricted access.
We believe the VR scale problem may be due to other reasons - FOV or camera settings. We are looking into it as we have limited VR testing capabilities at the moment, and we rely on Microsoft QA.
In the meantime, we recommend adjusting the global scale slider.
Thanks for your replyïŒBy the way, may I ask if the engine air reverse thrust function of the C17 will be available in future versions?
Will be supported in a future update, yes
At the risk of a broken record, I need to agree with all the other folks who talk about the VR scale. Iâm not a C-17 pilot (former C-130 pilot, current large jet pilot), but Iâve been on many C-17 flight decks, including sitting in the cockpit in air on C-17s during multiple flights. The scale is way off in VR. The strange thing is when I swap to other aircraft in VR, including many of the aircraft I have significant real world piloting experience in, they all have the correct scale.
MSFS required a 105 on global scale for me, but MSFS2004 correct setting for me is 100 now⊠on all aircraft except the C-17. The biggest trouble areas seem to be the sizes of the displays.
The second minor feedback item is watching C-17 maneuvering, both from the ground and a few flights from the cockpit. The roll rate seems too low. Iâve always been impressed how quickly C-17s can roll. The roll rate using the stock control settings is about that of a C-130, which doesnât have a good roll rateâŠ
Interestingly those are 1:1 in terms of dimensions to the real cockpit, we actually had dimensions for those. But as mentioned, we are looking at it, just have limited VR testing capacities at the time.
We will crosscheck this with the documentation we have, and make any changes as required, thanks for the feedback.
Hahaha, thanks for your comment! As the Owner of Miltech and Director of Project it is my job to listen to the community and gather the feedback to improve. There are so many different components to an aircraft of this size and complexity that we may miss a few, and our work doesnât end on release day. I take great pride in personally responding to every comment across all our media platformsâ Discord, forums, email, or elsewhere. Every piece of feedback is logged for review, opinions matter, and we fully acknowledge that mistakes or oversights happen.
interior is WAY out of scale to actual. its HUGE compared to real life. i feel like im a child in a VTOL VR airplane,
As addressed several times above, its logged and under review. In the meantime please adjust Global Scaling, which will scale the cockpit and FOV perception to the scale you consider normal.
Thanks for being so open and proactive. Looking forward to a wonderful experience. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK.

I want to also convey how Iâm impressed by a lot of little details youâve included⊠I laughed as I walked inside the Sliver Bullet for example. Nice job replicating the â â â â â â wood finish that doesnât seem out of place in a 1980s cabin.
I am not able to hear ATC. I have the headset on.
Once I crashed and when it put me back on track I could hear atc. Starting from runaway I can hear atc. Cold and dark start, I can not.
There was an underlying bug here that got fixed on Update 1. However, this update has not yet been made available by the MS Team - perhaps on Monday along with the Sim Update, but I do not have official confirmation of this.
There is any way to dissable the fire extinguisher handles?
IRL must be hard to accidentaly pull them, but on the simulator itâs one bad click when you try to change something on the AP panel and⊠engine gone forever.
It already happened to me had to restart the flight because of that mistake
Not at this time, but we will consider it.
This is a known FS24 issue, under some circumstances (particularly, change of cameras), effects and sounds attached to nodes on the model get detached due to re-loading of LODs.
This may be fixed on tomorrowâs sim update. Asobo has logged it as a bug a few weeks ago.
If itâs not to hard to put something to avoid itâŠ
I just did it again, accidentaly stoped one engine in the middle of the crowded skies IVAO event
EDIT: I think I found a walkaround for the ââ â â â I CLICKED THE FIRE HANDLEâ issue. I pressed CNTRL+E from frustration and the engine restarted xD
