Surface textures appear bumpy and dented most notably the fiberglass wheel paints which should be smooth. The Aerobat livery is also not very shinny or reflective. The prop animation is awful and not realistic.
it should not have painted tips on the back and the ones that are present are to wide.
In preflight, you have to ‘examine’ the right strut to get the left one to check OK and vice versa. I have yet to be able to check the tires.
Paint job looks good, in and out…legible text. ADF seems to work? I need more time with it. Not sure if Pitot cover flag blows in the wind or not (the default C152 one does not).
nice that the manner of checking the rudder was synchronized between the two variants. I hope the dashboard text near the light switches on the default C152 gets fixed. thanks in advance.
Saw this was in the Marketplace so decided to check it out as I took aerobatic training in our Flying Club. Anyway, it stuttered a lot at 24 FPS… not so good.
I was able to perform a barrel roll and loop smoothly. So it functions… just for the heck repeated the maneuvers in the C-172 and did not redline in either. 172 does not stutter with my 3070ti.
The Cessna 152 Aerobat seems to have reduced and unrealistic flight performance since SU4. Looks like as if I’m flying the aircraft at high altitude like FL100 or so, while actually flying at sea level. I did not test any other aircraft to see if they have the same problem. What to do about it?
That’s what to do next. Then provide some more detail about performance reduction(s), and the conditions of flight, location, weather, any other DLC, platform, etc. Good flying!
Okay, I’ll try to be more detailed here. First of all I use the Microsoft Store version on Microsoft Windows 11 Pro and I use the Meta Quest 3 for VR. I usually fly over Belgium during daytime with live weather in VR. But the flight model has changed to this less realistic behavior since SU4.
I did another test flight and found these issues so far:
Needs more engine RPM than normal to get the aicraft moving on the ground.
Engine reaches 2,700 RPM when giving full throttle during take-off and climb wich is a bit too much than normal since the maximum RPM should be 2,550 RPM but you normally cannot reach 2,550 RPM during take-off and climb with full throttle.
Needing approximatly double as much take-off distance than normal because it needs more time to reach take-off speed.
Climb performance barely makes it to 500 feet per minute at an IAS of 60 knots which is too low.
Only makes it to an IAS of 80 knots at 1,500 feet MSL with the engine running at 2,300 RPM wich normally should be 95 knots at that RPM and altitude.
Only makes it to an IAS of 95 knots at 1,500 feet MSL with the engine running at 2,550 RPM wich normally should be 115 knots at that RPM and altitude.
Needs more engine RPM than normal to keep a normal glide and slope.
