[MSFS2024] Cessna 185 Skywagon

Yes, I am about day time

Like many lights, I wonder if you can override their brightness via SimConnect.

I wish flight model and systems were separate voting categories. The flight model is a solid 9/10 for me, it feels very nice, especially on approach. The systems are more of a typical Carenado/FF/LL 6-7/10.

I’ve had an issue proceeding with the GPS in the amphibious variant, unable to press enter to proceed when it boots up. The Tundra variant works fine, haven’t tried the other variants yet. Also the amphibious spawns with chocks underwater, so it stays there when you take-off from water.

Other issues are inconsistent destruction of the plane when doing a barrel roll. Doing it at speeds even within the green will sometimes destroy the plane or you’ll be just fine. Makes me nervous to roll, I might implode randomly.

My video on it.

In a normal category airplane?

Yes :3
Though I am kind of unfairly holding it to the same standards as the 195 businessliner, which beautifully holds an inverted flight for a bit before choking the engine.

What is this C185, a beta release lol. I have not seen update here in Texas.

Also no VNAV and LNAV! What where they thinking?

Hello from a fellow Texan. It’s in the beta branch.

Yes there is. Right knob on the cluster where you find all the other mislabeled light switches

This is not a 185 problem. It’s a Working Title GPS problem. It affects all aircraft with those GPS units when you wait too long before pressing OK. As a workaround switch the avionics off and on again to reboot the GPS. Then confirm the OK message as soon as it pops up.

Am I the only one noticing the trim axis is inverted? I wonder why no one mentioned that yet.

Might not be inverted if you use pre-programmed buttons? That’s all I can think of. I didn’t fly it much, but I didn’t notice that.

I inverted the axis on my trim wheel in the settings and then it was fine.

I’ll start, the gear articulation animation seems “twitchy” on rough terrain. It seems like the suspension is quick to extend to full deflection which makes it lack a heavy realistic feeling

Folks, while nice to check in with fellow pilots on potential bugs, if anyone has their hands around a well-defined bug that others may wish to try and replicate, perhaps make a separate bug report taking care to complete the standard template? Just a thought.

Appreciate from here in the Corpus Region. Ive now got Beta and C185. Gonna test her hard in the Coastal Shield zone. Cold WX RW tonight perfect lol.

I’m flying with a yoke that uses buttons and didn’t encounter this, it must depend on the controller.

Really liking this. Much appreciated Asobo/MS.

Xbox Series X

Tail, red beacon light - too dim in daylight? Hardly noticeable at all unless I zoom right in. This is on tundra version but assume same on all.

Nav lights also little dim? Less sure about this as they are visible just less bright than I expect.

I know this isn’t this model (but all my default planes) : can anyone please help me get rid of that awful red man with the error sign? :folded_hands:t3:Completely detracts from the nice exteriors of every plane, so much so I only generally fly my purchased add-ons (doesn’t affect them)

There’s no water effects with the tundra tires while “water skiing”
