Thanks,
MSFS Team

Flight Model and Aircraft Systems - I voted 8 as circuit breakers are not functional and there are no backlighting on gauges (the latest is absolutely needed for msfs20204 planes as the sim’s eye-adaptation system makes gauges and labels on the instrument panel unreadable if you try to combine your panel/through-windshield views)

Interior and Exterior Graphics - 9 as from some angels textures are flickering and gaps btw flaps/wing-roots are visible

Overall Enjoyment of this aircraft - 5 - just because I am not able to read gauges, I believe this is more like general MSFS issue, not specific for this model, but this eye-adaptation really does not allow to enjoy the model.

Correction - Overall Enjoyment of this aircraft - 10. After few flights I really enjoy the plane.

No autopilot ? WTH?

There is a red dome light you can use.

Why is this such a shock?

Did not find a working one to help me daytime.

i did not even know the plane had come out!

In the Beta right now.

Why would they not include one? It’s not like in real life where it costs money to add one FGS.

Simply choice? It’s not equipped with strobe lights either.

Well, I don’t use such primitive planes. Not my cup of tea.

Does anyone have cruise performance charts? I’ve just been winging it flying 2400 / 24 (or WOT) and 100F ROP at cruise.

As far as I know, IRL the basic C185 is not equipped with an autopilot.

Been flying it in and out of Miami seaplane base. Great little addition.

LODs are a bit too aggressive

, look at the distance the numbers disappear (and a black hole at the wing root appears)

I bet it didn’t ship with that NAV system either, yet there it is.

It’s not about if the real one has it or not. For sim use it should be almost a given. Even if the AP implementation is just a hidden click spot with basic wings level and alt hold. It’s just annoying to not have it when you want to step away for a bit, particularly when flying with a group.

Ice. When I landed there were no ice above the engine, it accumulated after the plane landed

And… she is still with ice:)))

There is backlighting. You need to rotate the knob on the light panel mounted on the ceiling. The switches are miswired in that the function of the switches do not correlate with the labeling. I thought I needed to turn on the dome or curtesy light to get the instrument lighting to work, but it may just have been adjusting the knob labeled “Instruments” regardless of switch positions.

No help fro instruments lighting rotating/switching those knobs so far on my side, I can only have red light which is useless daytime.

Ah, you’re trying to get lighting in the day?

That seems to be sort of a sim-wide issue with many aircraft. I’m unsure if that is strictly a C185 issue or a sim issue.

I have the same issue with the dark instrument panel in the day time and can’t get lighting to work in many aircraft during the day.
