The Skycourier has a Control Lock lever. Meaning you have to pull it to unlock the controls - at least thats the theory.

If I understood correctly, you are saying that the slow turn tendencies are because there is a control lock lever in the sim that needs to be unlocked? Could you please share where it is located in the cockpit in the sim, please.
Because right now I use differential thrust and braking and it barely turns.
That is having no effect on the ground handling of the plane. I just tested it. By default it is unlocked. and locking it or unlocking it makes no difference to the turn radius on the ground.
As a matter of fact even when locked all control surfaces work normally. I assume it is not modeled. But anyway, I see no difference on the ground handling.
Agreed, need differential braking to turn for sure. But I am impressed with the fixes they have done otherwise. She is much more stable in free flight. Not tested in Career.

Yes, the last patch made it a lot better. I enjoy flying it a lot more now.
Yes, it is quite a fun plane, I enjoy it a lot since they put some work into it.
And to clarify the Control Lock: When enabled, what it does (at least for me) is return the yoke to its base position no matter how much you move it. No idea how that translates into real world behavior.
But no, I disengage the Control Lock before taxi and she still handles like a pig on the ground, more than other planes. Definitely gotta hit the brakes for steering.
I was just curious if that reflects the real plane.

According to this post further up in this thread by @Bejeavis who from what I understand is a IRL C408 pilot, the plane should be able to lock a wheel and turn even in place. something that is hardly doable in the sim.

I can’t verify that answer because a POH seem to be still not avaiable. I’m still looking for but until today without success

That is more or less my experience with the Control Look in sim.
I remember when the C408 came out it wasn’t possible at all to turn on the ground without differential breaking and engine thrust. It’s seemed broken. I don’t know when but this problem was fixed (I never saw it in the change log) but now I can make decent turns and only for sharp turns do I still need to use toe breaks. I also noticed that the condition levers also move with my Bravo throttles when I don’t think they did before.

I hadn’t seen the scathing reviews, so I paid for this.
I am by no means a ‘good’ pilot, but I can usually get a plane on the ground somewhat gracefully…not this thing!
Won’t slow down even with the throttles bottomed out…when you do finally get it slowed enough where you think you can land it bounces like a super-ball!
I have deleted it twice, and now re-downloaded it three times.
I WILL tame this unruly ****!
I flew this a few days ago and she was as good as gold on PC. Maybe something else interfering with it or a binding issue

Has anyone noticed that this plane is no longer available in cargo career mode? I used to have one then stopped playing for a long time now getting back and no 408. I can have (med cargo) pc12, pc24, c46, c208, and the little guys for light cargo but no more 408.
