Awesome. I hope you got a good price. They are hard to find at the moment. Try default sensitivities first. Out of the box it was perfect.
I keep my console upright in an open area. I recently had it cleaned and seems to be running great. Prior to the update it was perfect, no issues whatsoever. An update came out and since then my screens keep going black and flickering. My map will also keep zooming in and out randomly. I have tried a database rebuild and a fresh install yet the issue persists.
Itās still playable itās just annoying especially when on an approach and the screens black out and I canāt leave the simulator long in case the auto throttle disconnects. I have spoken to a few people who seem to be having the same issues.
Stewart to St George. The auto throttle behaved well in the PC for sure. That is until ATC started giving me stupid instructions so I switched to VFR and hand flew the last bit. Mon or Tues once Hotas 4 is set up Iāll give it a go on PS5.
I do not believe they intend to implement the HUD. I vaguely remember one of the devs mentioning as such, and saying thereās only a very small number of real world Longitudes that are equipped with functioning HUDs. Maybe Iām misremembering, and also not remembering the full details, but my general conclusion from what I read was to not expect or anticipate for the HUD to ever be functional.
Hopefully somebody can correct me and prove me wrong though. I would very much like that.
[edit to add below the comment I remember reading]
Have you seen this in Longitude notes? Just checking to see if it is the cause of the issue
Are you able to post a picture from PS5 of the AFCS Status Box when the failure happens and before it happens?
The issue is quite random, occurring without warning. The system simply disconnects, requiring me to manually re-engage it every time. However, I have been learning to fly the Airbus Neo, and it has been flawlessāI have experienced no issues with the screens or any other components, which leads me to suspect the disconnect is caused by a bug.
As a side note, flying the Neo has spoiled me. I doubt I will ever be able to return to the 737; the Neo is just that superior. In fact, on my first flight with it, I achieved an (S) tier rating!
The only minor annoyance was a persistent red alarm sound during landing. I am still not entirely sure what triggered it, as it continued throughout the taxi. Regardless, my new goal is to save up for this aircraft in career mode. It is truly amazing and has become my new favorite.
Re-learning to fly the Longitude now that Iām properly using MSFS 2024 on PC.
No addons, new install of MSFS, and Iām having a repeating issue where, on Glide Slope on final approach, I get a āTERRAINā CAS warning. This happened at WSSS yesterday, and doing some circuits at KLAS today. In this screenshot at RWY 01L at KLAS, Iām actually just above the PAPIs. Using Weather Preset āFew Cloudsā with Altimeter 29.92.
Get this all the time. Fully configured for landing, perfectly on the glideslope, then TERRAIN, TERRAIN . . . . . mixed with continual PULL UP, PULL UP. Very annoying.
I guess it comes down to preference. I like flying an airplane more than a computerš I get S rating on every flight with the 737.
I bought the Cessna Longitude and i donāt like it at all. Had a VIP mission where the RNAV in to a misty airport was completely misaligned. And i canāt deviate to another airport in career mode. But also i didnāt want to have my 2 hours flying go to waste, so after 2 go arounds i tried VFR (with 20 meters visibility) and crashed. I almost hit the uninstall button. So frustrating.
I used to fly the Longitude a lot in MSFS 2020, interestingly I just got around to try it in 2024. Iāve run into some issues:
On Xbox, framerate is very low during walkaround. The sim is perfectly smooth and stable while sitting in the plane (both in cockpit and external views), but when in āavatar modeā, the framerate just tanks. Iāve experienced this at several airports.
The walkaround objects canāt be removed from a distance, you have to walk right into them to remove. This is annoying because the engine covers can be removed only by completely walking around the wing, which is unnecessary time waste before every flight. Combined with the very low framerate, itās a jarring experience.
For some reason, the āautothrottleā warning callout keeps on going after landing, no matter what I do. I tried arming the AT again which temporarily silenced it, but after engine stop the āautothrottle autothrottleā warning kept going again. I found no way to disable it.
Relatively minor but all the more annoying things. If anyone has a tip for the autothrottle warning, that alone would be a big help.
Yes it does, but the alarm shouldnāt be sounding - at least not at the moment of touchdown. Having AT on during touchdown is allowed, and is an option in the landing config on the GTC.
Yeah but your problem is caused by design of the career mode not the plane itself
On my side I really enjoy it, Itās really well finished, the garmin avionic is fully customisable, has charts integrated and easily usable, the model is good, the flight model also, the integrated performance calc seems to be always coherent, wich is not the case of the other jets available in career etcā¦
Yep I experience the same framerate issue on ground with avatar and 3rd person view
You can bind a button on āquick preflightā, and you can still remove the pitot covers and chocks and then press this button to remove the engine covers without having to walk around the wing, or just press it directly, it works on career mode
Nope. This was a fault in the garmin system. Arrival RNAV RWY3 was set (canāt remember what airport, I donāt care anymore) but in stead of leading me to RWY3, it led me to destruction.
Hm maybe, but last time I had an ILS or RNav approach misalligned, I tested it after with few planes, no matter what was the avionic it was still misalligned, so not sure Itās the plane or avionicās fault
Probably avionics since multiple airplanes share the same Garmin platform. But itās enough reason for me to dislike every airplane fitted with it, because each time you do a career mission itās a gamble whether hours will be spend for the better or worse.
