ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

I was able to start a free flight beofre. But today the whole game crashed 5 times on 5 attempts. Either when selecting the aircraft, or on the world map or when entering the cockpit. I never got further than that today.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. start MSFS 2024
  2. select free flight
  3. select Livery, Departure and start flight
  4. if it starts, go to cockpit
  5. continue flight preparsation as fas as you can get

I’m having random CTD’s as well… I have all my reports, screenshots etc but for the life of me cant find where to start a topic for my specific issue. How or where were you able to create your own topic?

Every flight I tried to start today either CTDs at loading the flight after pressing ready to play, or freezes in flight where I have to manually end the process in task manager. This is after having completed half a dozen flights, with the last one Friday night. I’m thinking with it being the weekend this could be a server issue?

I have CTDs when I zoom into the world map or press ready to fly (on the few times I’ve got that far!).

No, nothing. Waiting for things to be compatible.

Same here. All I get when I load is the starting screen, and then it will come to a screen that only gives the option to QUIT TO DESKTOP.

Do you know if the devs are aware of this?

In Categories I selected the Bug Reporting Hub.
Then the CTD section.
At the Top there is a “+ New Topic”
I read the instructions first and then filled out the form.

But now you can simply hit the blue “Contribute to this topic” button.

I suspect they do, but we have no direct contact with any of those folks.

Thanks. It’s been a persistent problem for me (I’ve only managed 2 mins of flying time so far!). Really don’t know if the problem is at their end, my end or the connection between!

I recommend trying SAVE mode since all your 2020 Marketplace purchases are being streamed in 2024 with, unbelievably, no way to disable them. Maybe something is conflicting there for you.

might halp to vote on the Bug, then.
I’d assume that Bugs with higher Votes get tackled first.
Right now, my vote is the only one.
Making it look like I am the only one suffering from random CTDs at peak hours like weekends. :wink:

I haven’t seen Safe Mode in FS2024 yet, but I’ve had a couple CTD’s when playing around with addons.

Yeah, I don’t know if there’s a SAVE mode in 2024 like we have for 2020. But you’d think it should exist especially with the potential for 2020 addon conflicts with the new sim, right?

After Starting sim and the loading screen gets to 90% loading world data…then the only option on screen is QUIT TO DESKTOP.

Mine usually happens during loading sim objects!
