Yeah I want it to be a good upgrade because the aircraft is cool. But I will wait and see.

Out of curiosity I was looking at the boomerang and noticed this one sitting in the store for free… Grabbed it, and will take it out on a flight this evening.

Pleased to have this free upgrade.

Less pleased to be left guesssing as to when the other three (the An-2, the Latecoere and the ATR) will show up.

Also, if this is Microsoft’s idea of what consistency in spelling is like, I shudder to think about the state of their code:

This is so typical MS/Asobo..

I like the attention that the AV Edition planes get at last…but…

Why is the single engined Fokker the only one with brakes? And why are there 2 oil temperature gauges with exactly the same readings in the cockpit? Where is the Southern Cross livery for the Repro plane?

I mean…sure, its free and I am grateful (I really am!), but a little more attention to detail would be appreciated.

I don’t think the non replicas are supposed to have brakes, if you fly the replica version you get brakes and handbrake.

I’m excited to try these out!! Last I checked, the 2020 versions were unflyable if i remember right

Yep, thought so…but why does the single engined Fokker has brakes then?:smiling_face_with_tear:

I’m having fun with this new update! I prefer the replica versions but am glad to have both. I wonder how pilots like Amelia Earhart and especially Richard Byrd stayed warm in open cockpits. Imagine an open cockpit in Antarctica!!

I hope we get this sort of update for other broken 2020 planes like the Antonov-An 2 and the Skyvan. Even for planes that are already pretty good, the 2024 treatment would be great! (Thinking of Ford Trimotor, Dornier Wal, Junkers tri-motor, etc)

One problem I noticed…. I can’t take off in the ski Josephine Ford variant. I tried it in Antarctica but it won’t budge. It’s a shame because the interior is unique and looks great

Edit: the interior actually isn’t unique, I didn’t realize there are three variants for interiors: the F.VIIa, F.VIIb, and the Replica. Still, does anyone else have problems taking off with the skis?

I noticed the carb heat is very high in the replica version. I could not get the carb heat into the green, and I had to drop the throttle and RPM way down to get it below the red line. This seems odd as those old radial engines seem to be fine running at full throttle. I don’t think there’s any damage modeling.

I did manage to take off, but it wasn’t easy, basically floor the throttles and push forward on the yoke/stick and she slowly start gathering speed. Don’t try on tarmac as that won’t work.

Are there release notes available to know what was done?

On 2020 the F7 also got updated  but why was the KLM livery removed ? :sob::sob:

So it has to happen on a runway? Thanks for the tip I’m going to give it a go today

What airport is that? And any tips for taking off with the skis?
