Thanks … will give it another try … it was a pretty silent flight from London to Antwerp… ![]()
My Junker Ju 52 is still missing in MSFS2024. In My LIbrary it states, “Not Creator Approved”. Was this officially ported over to MSFS 2024?
The same btw for the Ford 4-AT Trimotor as well as Top Rudder 103 Solo
It isn’t missing. That is just how it is. You can enable and use it, if desired.
If/when they make it officially compatible or native is anyone’s guess.
Fortunately, the Ju 52 works well in 2024, as is.
I swear Jorg or someone mentioned the intent was to update them to 2024 standards in a dev stream. Am I dreaming this or was this a dropped promise?
I cannot get them to engage, at all, about the LL/FF status.
I’ve tried for over a year:
Has anyone flown the 52 in SU2 lately? The sounds on my end have changed, the plane is way to quiet..i almost hear no sound in the cockpit, on the outside a bit of prop wind…but no radials.
It wasnt always this way, was it?
I tried it yesterday and thought the same thing. I opened all the windows, but it didn’t change much. This isn’t the only plane that’s become rather quiet in SU2, something has changed, I feel.
I’m having problems setting the “kurssteuerung” autopilot.
I set the heading and align the aircraft on the compass. Then I set the “kurssteuerung” switch to on and finally click the button on the left bottom of the compass.
Am I engaging the autopilot steering in the correct sequence because the aircraft won’t lock onto the set heading.
Otherwise am really enjoying this aircraft
During the influencer demos, he was asked if the Aviator planes would be updated to 2024, and he essentially said they will likely possibly eventually may get updated to 2024 status. At that time, I think he thought they would be functional in compatibility mode in their 2020 status. Which I think they kind of mostly sort of are.
(Wishy washy words are on purpose as he was kind of wishy washy on his answer, it wasn’t definitive. And it was clearly going to be future work some time in the future (at that time, I’m not sure he knew how bad 2024 actually was, so timelines on it may be pushed way out at this point. I wouldn’t expect to even maybe start getting some of them updated until after SU3))
In the latest dev stream, it was asked about getting LL/FF updated, not specifically to 2024 compatibility, but updated, and Jörg’s answer was: “Yes, that’s the plan”.
in 2020 the autopilot is working but not in 2024. Waiting for the updates
I can confirm this. I just tested it and toggled switches/settings with Simvar Watcher running. It appears that the Autopilot is not able to be powered on, as the simvar “Autopilot Master” remains at 0 regardless of any of the switch settings.
It’s possible, too, that the HDG Lock mode is non-op, as that also remains at 0 regardless of switch position, but it could be that it won’t show a 1 until AP Master shows a 1, too.
The electrical circuit appears to have power.
Funny, I have flown it quite a bit in 2024 and never noticed! I don’t really use the AP in the Junkers to be fair, but it should definitely be working.
I fly MSFS2020, in which we have a decent Ju model. Unfortunately it is equipped with the original as-built cockpit instruments. The ones that have flown in latter years until the Europe-wide grounding of the type, have modern instruments. My wish list item is a modern panel for the original Ju. The one for a so-called modernized type does not fit. THat plane was just the Lufthansa rebuild with PW engines and variable props.
Are you sure the Ju-52 D-AQUI had an autopilot? What for? It was used for fair-weather VFR flights only.
The Ju 52 old version has Autopilot, not the retrofitted one.
Junkers Ju-52
Version 0.3.0
- Fixed external HUD having incorrect overspeed range.
- Fixed the external power AVAIL light showing up when there is no external power available.
- Fixed missing cockpit switch and knob sfx.
- Fixed livery names to make more sense.
Egad! And my wish is, heck no! Keep the old gauges!
