We are pleased to inform you that your order is not affected by the current delays. The shipping of your Limited Collectorâs Edition is expected to take place this week!
They indeed have another delay for all orders placed after September 24th, someone posted a screenshot of the mail in their discord. They even donât know a new shipping date for that. Iâm not affected this time but for those who are, thatâs just brutal. Hope they will extend the Gamepass for them.
$275 USD and a PRE-order almost a month in advance of release date, and it looks like Iâll be lucky to play the sim in 2025, maybe, who knowsâŠ
Why did Microsoft/Asobo not plan this out ahead of time? Why was production left to the last second given these exorbitant prices and why was Aerosoft trusted with distribution?
Yes I know there was a temporary Game Pass sent out. I didnât claim it, I do not want yet another account, I do not need to give Microsoft even more of my data than they already have just cause of this epically disastrous launch. Not to mention from what Iâve seen, others in my position had issues getting their Aviator edition planes anyways. So please donât bring that up, it is beside the point.
The point is, this shouldnât have happened from a hundreds of billions of dollars corporation at a price point of $275âŠ
I would like to know what Microsoft/Asobo plan to do about such releases in the future to avoid this extremely disappointing result again? Will you at least please drop Aerosoft as a partner? Something has to be doneâŠ
I dont understand something. The LCE is the Microsoft PC/XBOX version only and not Steam. Youâll need a MS account to play anyway, why not claim the gamepass version on that account?
Thatâs a fair point that I hadnât considered, but either way, the way the temporary Game Pass is supposed to work seemed confusing and convoluted, between the fact that people have struggled with getting all their planes to begin with and the way upgrading that Game Pass key to the full key was presented in the email I got about that, it just seemed ⊠annoying to deal with. I figured Iâd wait for the actual thing another 2 weeks.
But again, that whole thing is completely beside the point of this post. It doesnât matter if they gave out temporary game passes, what matters is that they are a multi billion dollar company, with their name on the box, having charged us nearly $300 almost one month in advance for a product that not only didnât ship on time, not only didnât ship delayed but now doesnât even have ANY shipping date at all.
If it was some random indie company, I might have understood. Hell, even for X-Plane, given the much smaller team and resources, I could understand, but from Microsoft? Nah bro. This is a failure of epic proportions, so much incompetence and greed, itâs unreal. They couldâve produced them earlier and had them ready to go. But they are so greedy, that the very thought of god forbid having stock wait around for in a warehouse for a week or month extra, was too expensive for their billions of dollars. But they sure charged us $300.
They likely had many months to order and receive 5000 pieces âCreatorâs Editionâ â their lack of professionalism is appalling and I certainly wonât be purchasing anything from Aerosoft again. This is the second time theyâve let me down â I wonât be fooled a third time.
Like the 4999 others stuffed up with this , ok the hard ware is delayed where is my full pass code thats an easy on line fix , where is my 50% off code for being dicked about and left hanging ?
Different wording in my email. Canada, ordered in the European Aerosoft storefront on September 19th.
I received the same but ordered on day #1. But still no shipping information⊠Letâs wait until Friday. For the others, they even suggest in their e-mail to cancel it. Probably this means that the delay is yet another month. I dunno if Microsoft will extend the game pass, or simply say to people to cancel it and purchase an on-line version. What a messâŠ
Hmpf, this email from aerosoft came in just now.
Dear customer,
As you know, the delivery of your Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - Limited Collectorâs Edition was supposed to start this week. When we contacted you on Tuesday, our current status was that the first container will reach our warehouse this Thursday at 8:00 am. We received this message from our shipping company on Monday.
Yesterday evening we received the message that the delivery cannot take place before December 9th due to the capacity utilization of the means of transport.
We are just as frustrated as you are about the repeated delays, some of which were announced at very short notice. Of course, we are doing our utmost to deliver to our customers as quickly as possible, but ultimately we are also dependent on the deadlines set by our partners. In concrete terms, this means that our hands are currently tied, as we are only responsible for the parcels once they have reached our warehouses.

I would like to think that weâll get some sort of reward for our patience though

Will Microsoft extend the game pass for another month ? If not I will ask refund.
