MSFS2024 - Limited Collector's Edition not before December?

As of today, there is a new delivery start date on the homepage, the first week of December. Does anyone have any background information and / or details on this?

It’s physically impossible to send out all packages at once, so it will be done in batches.

That’s unfortunate. They could at least try do send the activation codes in the 11/19. So people can wait their packages using the sim.

Yeah i wonder if they can just email the code to microsoft and then they could add it maybe, like with the cl415 asks for your gamertag

Yes I have received the same e-mail from Aerosoft. It is unacessptabme knowing the time they had to ship it. The stuff is to at least provide the activation code. Otherwise I think that I will cancel it and buy a normal edition…

I’m not sure what is going on over at Aerosoft.

Quite disappointing after spending 322EUR and I don’t even get to play on day 1 like everyone else :melting_face:

You got two months to ship a box… How can it be late??? Why have not shipped it just after all you orders are full? In any case you cannot do anything with a code without server being deployed and game available in the store… So what was the issue? And now they will contact Microsoft for sending us temporary activation code?

I pre-ordered on day 1 and also got that email. So I assume everyone is affected. Will cancel my order tmwr.

I really hope this not only affects Aersoft, but subsequently Microsoft too. I hope a lot of people will cancel - doing economic damage to Microsoft to show them what a massive mistake working with Aerosoft is/was.

After what I went through the last time I had to deal with Aerosoft ‘support’ I wouldn’t buy a set of pens from them… they’d probably show up late and without ink.

I had booked two weeks leave from work ready for the release and delivery. I’m so glad to know it was for nothing in the end.

Wow, just wow… So this is what you get for paying over 320€ on day 1, two months before release. What a s#!tstorm this is gonna be. I’ll cancel my order too.

It‘s more for me bc i also bought a shelf for the collectors items haha. Need to find a new purpose for that now!

I know you are frustrated and so am I, but can you please calm down a bit? This is very unprofessional and childish.

When I made the first post here, I did not expect these far-reaching consequences. All the more important that I asked! However, I would like to ask everyone not to act too hastily, I don’t think that one day more or less with a possible cancellation or the like is important at the moment.

Perhaps there are still possible solutions that we don’t know about yet, but which will still allow us to hold this wonderful Collectors Edition in our hands, albeit with a delay.

If they don’t have access to the keys, maybe everyone affected will get 3 months of Gamepass Ultimate to at least have access to the standard version from release. Anyway, I don’t know, there must be more to it than sending an email with the information … ‘well, that’s just the way it is now’…

Oh I totally get that. And personally it doesn’t affect me anyways even though I did order it from Aerosoft. I am a developer and I need it on steam. So I would have bought it a second time on steam anyways. So regardless of the delay, I would have been able to get the game on day one.

This is about the principle though. We paid over 300€ to PRE ORDER this and play it on day one. And what do we get? Exactly, we get it 3 weeks late.

Most other games: Pre order it and get early access in some sort of form (FIFA, COD, etc)

MSFS with Aerosoft: Pre order and get it 3 weeks late because we cannot send you the activation code.

It’s not really about the fact that the shipping is delayed, but more about the fact that nothing is done to support the paying customer e.g. send out the codes on release day.

Combine that with everything AS has done in the recent past and you have the perfect example of how a company shouldn’t operate and a company that should not be supported anymore

I really understand that there can always be issues with logistics especially at such a scale. But the least the people in charge can do is compensate the paying customer or at least give them what was promised.
