Thanks for putting in this work! This would be such a simple fix but not sure if it’ll ever happen unless it gets a 2024 update.

That doesn’t discredit any expectation that things should work as advertised.
At this point though, I am left with the impression that these local legends and famous flyers are just gimmicks and were never meant to be taken seriously as I and some others mistakenly approached them. They also rarely if ever get updates. So I would actually prefer a different build by another skilled developer working independently from Microsoft and Asobo. A2A Simulation, Just Flight, FSReborn ? Any of you interested?

Fixing some of these older bugs would go a long way to repair some of the damage Microsoft/Asobo did with the launch. It sounds like they’ll be doing so with the Antonov, but the Skyvan is still unflyable as well. The Mitsubishi isn’t quite as bad but it would still be nice for a fix
in that sense, ensuring that every aviator edition (or whatever super deluxe thing it’s called) is a product they can stand by would definitely be worth whatever effort needs to be taken. Really, it should have already been done since they already got their money from us

It costs hundreds of thousands to make a decent level sim of anything
People don’t do this for free
And tbh - not enough people buy them when there is already direct competition that satisfies the majority of the market

If anyone would make a high-quality version, it would probably be Black Square, since half of his excellent aircraft are competing with planes included in MSFS. The sort of customer who’s satisfied with a Local Legend level of quality won’t likely pay ~$50 anyway, while someone who’s willing to pay that for a good MU-2 will likely do so even if they already have the cheap version. The only issue is that the market for high-quality turboprops is possibly fairly small.

Is this model stil alive in 2024? I love it but the sounds outside the model is so to say not existant.Would love to see it updated. would even pay for it.

it is alive…albeit with all the shortcomings listed in this topic, and then some…
still, i use it because i always had a crush on this aircraft
but i would pay good money for a good study level of this one

Wish an AAU would give some updates to the ini made MU-2-I enjoy piloting it nonetheless.
