On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being best), how do you rate your Overall Enjoyment of this aircraft?
It’s such a shame that the Texan has just been clearly ported over from MS2020 with little or no love for it all. Visually it’s quite nice inside but it lacks really basic features and is lumbered with awful liveries.
Exactly the same can be said of the Mustang. They really could have used a lot more love, considering how special the aeroplane is.
I can’t get it to move, the interior sounds like you’re under water, and the outside textures are just awful. Cockpit textures are OK. Please make it possible to add liveries, and make it fly, like this it is a complete nono for me
Yes, the rear cockpit can be set in the camera settings of the menu bar. I really enjoy the Texan, but none of my Reno versions appear in 2024, only the basic set aircraft.
I took off and within minutes the engine shutdown and I could not discern why.
Then, when I crashed, I was given a “Back on track” message and was put back in the air. I don’t have any sort of assistance setting that controls that functionality. I have all assistances turned off, as well.
I cannot swing a dead cat without striking an issue with this sim.
I have been flying the basic reno T-6 version. I have had trouble with the mixture control. I leave it full rich regardless of altitude. I have mixture bound to a control axis and leaning causes the engine to shut down. The in-sim mixture control lever doesn’t move. I have not tested any of the extra T-6 varieties yet because they have not appeared in my hanger yet.
My mistake then. I assumed that was the basic Reno package airplane. Regardless, that is the plane I have been using in MSFS2024. I flew it in last Friday’s Community Fly-In with no issues.
Where are the fuel guages? Why doesn’t the prop pitch change the sound characteristics? Why are so many controls just not implemented? Why is the mixture essentially useless as anything other than fuel on fuel off? Terrible simulation. I’ve flown the real thing. This is junk.
