A few issues.

  1. Engine always cuts out after around 10 minutes flight - a message flashed up saying “engine failure” but doesn’t really say what, how or why.

  2. No manual, maybe the above is my fault through lack of knowledge, a manual would be nice.

  3. Bloom - when playing in VR, during the day it is pretty much impossible to see outside or via the periscope as everything is blown out - not so bad in the morning/evening.

Please fix the panel light is much too dark compared to the 2020 version. It’s almost impossible to read the gauges at night.

About the engine failures. I get them with engine stress failure setting both on and off. So that’s one interesting and fun aspect.

The other thing I have noticed is that I can usually prevent the engine failures in two ways. In cold weather, use the engine anti-ice lever to keep the engine temp from dropping too low as you climb, start leaning the engine mix as you climb. You can keep full power on the climb this way all the way to your cruise altitude in cold weather. In warm weather you can only climb with full power for 4 or 5 minutes. Don’t lean the engine at all until you are backing off power usually around 5k feet. Then climb slowly at cruise power and adjust mix as you climb into cooler air.

That’s what’s working for me. I have been meaning to find real life info on the engine and it’s operation but haven’t had time. From what I read so far it has some very predictable needs but was considered very reliable if respected.
