Those considering purchasing this aircraft should be aware that there is a problem with it.
I doubt whether Asobo actually performs QC.

The Saab 340B cannot maintain airspeed once you hit flight level 230, it just somehow stalls out so I canā€™t maintain career mode flight altitude when it is above fl 250, while flight radar shows it operating higher the fl 200 :frowning:

I just hit FL 250 career mode and it stalled :frowning: itā€™s simply not flyable, and cannot be used in career mode at its state

They should just remove the carenado product out in favor of both the next gen Saab projects replacing this one because next gen at least fixes their stuff

The 340s service ceiling is 25.000ft.

Then career mode is trying to kill me in my Saab 340B because it kept assigning you over 250, and you canā€™t reassign your cruise alt because it gets reset back to the obscure altitude

Try setting the altitude you want on the EFB and then send that plan to the ATC at the start of the mission before requesting IFR clearance, it works for me

Iā€™ll have to try it when I add the Saab back into my fleet because I am building my fleet back up from what it used to be and my modernization attempt of the fleet which will be a while :slight_smile:

Good luck with it, although the Saab missions donā€™t payout the best. I wish itā€™d get to run cargo or something.

My 4 x 340ā€™s in cargo have stopped flying now and I cannot maintain them - thats a huge credit loss each time! Never mind the Cr it will cost me to fix them back to a condition where they can fly. Why not let us maintain them even if they canā€™t fly?

Please Asobo make a decision about the cargo weights in the different categories - clearly this is not a plane for light cargo it is too big. Leave it in medium heavy cargo - How long does it take to adjust the criteria?
