only msfs2020?
Quick! Someone ask about the Saab too!
Haven’t flown the saab for a couple of months but what I remember she was a beaut to fly, very enjoyable.
It’s pretty, but needs some performance improvements. Probably need overhauled LODs. It’s for me heavier on the frames than the L-1011 or the Fenix, which says a lot. Wouldn’t mind an AAU for it either.
This plane cruises at 198 knots at full power at 22,000 ft. Other sites mention it should be able to do something like 280 knots, so it would seem that the flight model is also pretty busted.
Is it possible those metrics you’re seeing are groundspeed? None that I’ve found specifically say if it’s IAS, TAS, GS, etc.
Yeah it would seem like its in TAS. I forgot the UI displays in IAS and not TAS
Has the Saab 340 ever worked in career mode for passenger transport missions? I searched for employee missions with the Saab and when I enter the cockpit the batteries are already on, but the PFD doesn’t have any power. Cycling the batteries off/on, turning on the essential avionics bus, ctrl-e to autostart, etc… nothing gets the PFD to turn on, basically rending the plane unusable. Has this always been an issue or is in an SU5 thing?
Also, when the plane spawns at a gate, it spawns in backwards, and the pushback ends up pushing the plane into the terminal. First time I’ve messed with the Saab so not sure if this is an old or new issue either.
It’s a bug in free flight as well, sometimes one of the displays just doesn’t turn on. Only way to fix it for me is to restart the flight.
Using skip to taxi or skip to takeoff can make the screen turn on (not that the work around is what should be required).
How are the payouts for the passenger missions in the Saab?
Not high enough to get the max, medium cargo makes more than the Saab 340B, because we need the Saab 2000 for bigger income if your looking at passenger flying, I recommend setting a special sim rate commands if you’re flipping the freighter version, I made more money selling off the Saab 340B than doing passenger routes ![]()
Wouldn’t mind overhaul of LODs in a future Sim Update/AAU.
We don’t have the Saab 2000 in the sim, do we? Also as far as i can tell, Saab 340b doesn’t get cargo missions anymore.
We don’t have a career mode ready Saab 2000 in the sim yet unfortunately ![]()
We don’t have any Saab 2000 at all in the sim as long as I didn’t miss something big ![]()
I’d have to look to remind myself, between 300-700k off top of head (but that’s based only on having one around NZ and the Pacific Islands), like Tuuta (Chatham Island) to Wellington (NZ) off top of head was around that 700k, internal flights like the 300-400k.
So u can buy saab 340 if u have standard edition?
