Somebody did a comparison video of default XP 12 graphics to default MSFS 2024 graphics, so default to default, which is a fair comparison. Look at the comparison at the 8:03 mark in the video:
And there are other comparisons in that video (ie. the 7:06 mark). You can see that the islands and shorelines in XP 12 are still polygonal with hard edges.
