MSFS2024 will not load flight or activity after SU1 Beta

Description of problem.

After an uneventful installation of the SU1 Beta and removal of all Community folders, I installed all the Navigraph programs. The initial loading of the program went smoothly and I
first attempted Free Flight and chose the A321 in EasyJet livery. I then positioned at EGPF, Gate 19 for flight to EGLL.
The aircraft would not load - circle bottom right of screen usually going round but page not responsive. Had multiple tries including alternate aircraft and locations etc.
I tried a selection from each of the other activities on the main menu and similarly NONE loaded. Moreover, the problem exists whether SU1 Beta is activated or not loaded.
I uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no change and then undertook a clean reinstall - again - to my surprise the function of the sim was unchanged.
I had several warnings of slow connection BUT have a very fast and reliable ethernet connection running at ~ 997mbps download and 108mbps upload.
I am using MSFS2024 1.2.11.0 and with SU1B 1.3.70.0
App ID: 2537590

While the Streaming changes the equation a little bit, I would try cleaning out your Community Folders and then make sure you’re not running any supporting utilities in parallel that talk back to the sim through SimConnect or FSUIPC, etc. Basically get it down to a vanilla (such as it is) SU1 Beta install. And then use a stock aircraft. If you can get through that, it’s a reasonable guess that it’s either a Third Party aircraft or something in your Community folder prior. Or it’s an external utility hanging it up.

I appreciate your thoughts but as I stated in the original - the community folder was removed and the SU1B install created its own A stock aircarft was used as stated and no other programs were running

Have you tried without Navigraph installed? (does not necessarily have to be running).

It’s going to be hard for the devs to replicate this as there are no clear steps for them to follow in order to try to reproduce the issue.

I have the same problem
Brand new install of msfs2024 haven’t used 24 since November last year
The simulator won’t load in to the airport. Eternal loading time
Tested with EHAM, ENGM ENAL airports with original planes from Asobo. No “mods” installed or done anything on my part.
The simulator starts and i can go into the menu, but when I select free flight the simulator will not load. Only music and clouds.
I’m also on SU1 Beta

I’ve had the same issue happen. I’ve been thinking it was an airport so I would remove the addon, try again and same issue. So I’d just go else where and see what happens. It just seems to hang for some odd reason.

I seem to be having the exact same issue. No changes were made to the sim over the last few days, although I can no longer load into a flight (Just get the circle in the corner and nothing actually ends up loading)

Same for for me, no beta, i have this issue since today…

I’m also having the same issue and cannot load into an airplane at an airport. After 3 days of trying to work out this problem and reinstalling the software multiple times I’m giving up on msfs 2024. Extremely disappointing and I hope there’s a fix for this soon.

It seems I could have solved this by deactivating NVIDIA Game Filters.

Indeed. It worked when I deactivated the NVIDIA GameFilters. After the flight was loaded activating them didnt caused a new crash.

Same for me, both with/without SU1 Beta.

No one knows what happened, also reported in this thread.

Asobo tried something on the backend and now no one can play the game? Lol

Edit: Can any forum mods in the SU1 Beta boot up the game or are you guys in the same situation?

I also have the same problem. Nothing works. Some people said that regenrating all layout.json files in all mods and sceneries - but I am not going to do that.

Hopefully this issue does not persits.

Not true at all, the server is full of players. Re-installs take 20 minutes and is a good place to start.

I have the same as you…, for two days 04.02.2025 I haven’t been able to take any flights, the game starts but the flight itself doesn’t load, the map is also blurry when viewing the ground, there seems to be a problem with the servers… I don’t know if it’s just me, my network connection is very fast…

Besides, any attempt to exit the game or attempt to enter the main menu causes the game to freeze completely and nothing can be done.

I live in Asia, I’ve not met with any connection issue from day one till this day. The sim was perfectly fine across November and December 2024.

However about mid to late January 2025 the sim became unusable for me, exactly the same as @MARIOGLIDER had described.

All of the solutions: re-installing, opt-in/out from beta, re-generate layout.json did solve the problem then it resurfaces again after 2-3 loads.

I have the same issue. My specs are:

CPU: i9-13900K
GPU: Asus ROG Strix RTX 4090 OC
RAM: 64 GB DDR5
Storage: 5 x 2TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe (2TB dedicated to MSFS & MSFS 2024, another 2TB dedicated to addons for both sims).
Network: Gigabit (942.57 down and 40.70 up)

Loading goes as planned until 91%, where it gets stuck for a long time, and then says “loading unusually long”. I then get 2 pop-ups talking about low bandwidth, even though my bandwidth is solid (NE USA 30ms ping). Then it completes the loading and the two buttons appear.

When I click start, the map is blurry and although buildings and all are seen when I zoom in, the ground textures (runways, taxiways, etc. are not rendered. I was able to do a flight in career mode once, but there were no runways both at the departure and destination airports. Since then, I haven’t been able to load into any airport both in career and free flight modes.

I have never had any connection issues since November until these few days. Not even with the initial instal when the sim originally launched.

Here are screenshots

True! You can only exit with task manager. Sometimes even when you’re able to just click the “x” on the window and close, the background app remains on and the music, until you close the background app with task manager.
