I have this intermittently since the SU1 beta release before the one that dropped today. I still have it. Seems to be totally random.

I just wish that they acknowledge that it is a known issue which will be possibly resolved after sim update is released. I would be happier just dealing with it now instead of constantly trying different settings to see if I can make it go away. :grinning:

Try deleting rolling cache. I spawned in somewhere I’d not flown and it worked, so I deleted rolling cache and now I can magically spawn in without issues at LHR after trying helplessly for 2hrs before that.

This happened to me for about 10 whole days, two weeks ago. Loads to around 90%, then says loading unusually long, then says bandwidth blah blah blah (I have gigabit internet with minimum 950mbps down, 40mbps up). Then it finally gets to the start but the ground textures don’t load. Runways, taxiways, roads, NADA! Only buildings. And if you click fly, it doesn’t load. I waited for a full 24 hours, nothing! You close the sim, and it doesn’t close. You need to close with task manager. Alt-f4 doesn’t even work. Sometimes even when it closes, it still has the background component running. Only closes with task manager.

I thought it was the Beta, so I left the Beta but to no avail. I actually reinstalled MSFS 24, with brand new community folder. Cleared all caches, deleted rolling cache, NO JOY! I rejoined the Beta since it wasn’t the issue, still no joy.

10 days later, it magically repaired itself.

If I lower my settings to Low-End, the flight starts instantly, each time. Once started I switch back to Ultra and all is good.

Hello everyone, I want to know why fs24 does not start with su1 1.3.19
and before that either, since Sunday it is impossible to start a flight, after configuring several flights with different planes, once you press fly the circle keeps spinning and does not start
any solution

Having the same issue since Beta 3 launched, never had this issue prior or any problems with the sim until beta 3 launched. haven’t been able to do a flight out of any airports cause it continuously just loads. Yes I’ve tried removing the community folder, lowering setting and all. There is no acknowledgement from the Microsoft team or Asobo about the current issue that many people are facing and its pretty annoying for someone who got the premium deluxe version and paid extra just to have continuous issues. I haven’t been able to fly or do anything and i mainly use free flight to do my daily routes. I’ve launched the sim everyday to check if it will finally load and always nothing it has been over 9 days since beta 3 launched and nothing from the Asobo/Microsoft team, this is unacceptable.

Some updates here, I realized it’s indeed something to do with layout.json with the community sceneries and aircraft from fs2020. It’s still not clear why, but here’s a workaround.

If you go to map, zoom to the ground level, the airport should be loaded in with clear textures. If it stays blurry after you’ve let it loaded for like for 30 seconds, it is hinting that you would have to regenerate layout.json.

After you’ve done that for the airport (and you were stuck in loading), that further hints the layout.json for the aircraft would need to be regenerated.

You can do this for your start airport, destination airport (and/or your aircraft) for every flight. That guarantees the scenery/aircraft in concern be loaded in, and it saves you some frustrations (at least for me, fs2024 is usable now, albeit marginally)

I had the same issue with almost all 2020 add on airports as of late. I can confirm that lowering the LOD in the settings fixed it for me. Seems to be related to 3rd party add ons.

Also have this issue. Have no clue how to solve it. Have to continuously press ESC and try again until it works. Sometime can take 20 tries

Tried the same technique yesterday actually and discovered the “fix” by accident, lol.

You really have to wait many long seconds for the blurry map and airport to load in. THEN you click on start flight. Otherwise, it’s going to take forever or even if you do load in, things around you will be a blurry mess.

The server issues hit everybody it seems. One day they are fine, the next day, near-unusable.

Series X here, latest beta, around 250mb fiber.
