.10 char..never mind
This is on all aircraft btw, itās the default reflection shader. We have no control over this.
But Iām not seeing this on any other aircraft, default or payware. Only the Norden.
About flaps, if I trust the manual, VF is about 65 kts. I flew a rescue missio, and well below this speed, as I became a warning for exceeding with flaps (11 warnings in total, so no bonus). Are there specific speeds for each flaps position?
Yeah, theyāre posted on a pillar to the left of the pilot.
My Bravo throttle When pulled back to the detent drops rpm to 1400. Pulling back further has no effect on RPM, even on ground (so its not windage). I seem to consequently float along for ages before speed drops to land. Q: should rpm drop further? Or is it Iām still not lifting the nose enough to kill my speed. I dont seem to have the problem with other single engine planes. I do have the Throttle 1 decrease bound to the detent.
Engine specs suggest this is right. Ive come to conclusion its due to too low a glide path (increase fpm) & have a better approach setup
I really enjoy this plane but I struggle with what seem to be extremely sensitive trim and rudder. One brief click on the alpha yoke trim button moves the trim 3-4% and the wheel on the bravo throttle is similarly sensitive. Very twitchy rudder controls and even pitch and roll. I try to be very gentle on the controls and given all the love this plane seems to get I assume itās just me, but has anyone else experienced this? Makes it very hard to trim for stable altitude and taxiing let alone landings can be a very dicey affair. Appreciate any overall guidance or settings tweaks people have made. Thanks!!
I just came here to make the same point.
I just got a velocity one flightsitck, which has a trim wheel.
All other planes Iāve tried so far work great, itās very precise for doing trimming in units of 1. The Norden, however, jumps in units of 6 or more, even using the digital button system. I donāt find the control twitchy though, just the trim system needs to be harmonised with how all other planes do it.
The double ender and Draco trims are fine, single unit control.
Not sure what has gone wrong here.
Could be an SU2 issue, as I didnāt notice it before on the T16000M with the Norden, which I was flying a lot.
Update: Strange. Just trying the Norden again and trim is now working correctly, with 1 unit increment changes. The mysteries of MSFS 2024!
Never mind, all good now it seems, for me at least.
I love how you can drop it in at ~28 kts using that 70 degree temp flap movement.
Question on the Draco: Are the slats really fixed on the Draco? I though Mr Patey the performance king would have been all over dynamic slats to clean it up for super cruise?
The Norden seems to start fine without the momentary switch. Is this a bug or expected behavior?
I have the screens go black after flying a while, same thing happens on the Zlin Shock Ultra.
Sometimes feel itās connected to using the mouse with the right button down to look around the cockpit.
Only happens on these two Zlins. Marketplace purchases.
I bought it in 2024. The manual mentions a checklist for MSFS2020, but I cannot find this aircraft in 2020.
Probably a typo. I think MS/Asobo said that the new FS2024 aircraft like the Norden will not come to FS2020 in the foreseeable future because they were made with the new FS2024 techniques and they would have to be rebuilt from the ground up to make them work in FS2020.
Ok.

I looked at the manual again. I donāt think itās a typo. The manual has a 2020 and a 2024 checklist.
Hereās a screenshot of how the 2020 checklist starts.
And here for 2024:
Iām pretty sure it will never come to 2020 because of the reasons mentioned above.
Milviz is also 2024 only now.
Thatās fine. But they should adjust the manual then.
All Got Friends aircraft developed in partnership with Microsoft were built as two separate versionsāone for MSFS 2020 and one for MSFS 2024. Our team completed development for both platforms, but the distribution and release of these versions are entirely managed by Microsoft.
So while, for example, a version of the Zlin Norden exists for MSFS 2020, our contract specifically covered delivery for MSFS 2024. Whether the MSFS 2020 version is ever released is a decision that rests solely with Microsoft.
This applies to all our collaborative projects with them. Therefore, all our manuals are written for any scenario the future may hold.
As Jorg mentioned in a recent Dev Stream, some aircraft were designed with MSFS 2020 and then further expanded with MSFS 2024 (Including our aircraft). However, he also mentioned during the same stream that some content was specifically designed for only MSFS 2024 due to new feature requirements. So it really depends on the contentās development cycle whether or not it has a compatible version.
This one is much better after SU2. Iāve been flying it quite a bit today.
Thank you! We learned a ton of tricks, multiplayer tips, and animation fixes recently thanks to our Project Crosskart. We applied those findings directly to this Norden update and all our other aircraft.
