[MSFS2024] Zlin Aviation Savage Norden

I understand!

Lots of liveries aren’t loading in properly for me with the Norden now, just partial colours. On SU2.

I am attempting to report the same issue but I’m not sure that I’m adequately making the point:

Go to the options on the notebook down to the left. You get three or four livery variants to choose from.

Well I learned the Norden has more options than I thought. I had no idea the notebook was there!

Hi @TK421Posted
FYI, A bug topic has been created here:

I’ve moved your post from the feedback thread into the bug topic. You may want to add your vote to that topic.

July 2025, and we still have prop wake in the cockpit in VR.

Same with the Draco.

Would it ber too much to ask to get this fixed? That’s rhetorical btw. We all know it is too much to ask.

What is prop wake ?

Came here looking to see if I was the only one experiencing this.

Decided to take this one out for a spin, and ended up really disliking it - purely because of the fact that I can’t seem to trim the thing out at all.

No combination of power or trim settings lets me settle this plane in nice level flight. Up and down like a yoyo. Even the autopilot struggles in Alt Hold mode. Just a very unpleasant experience.

I don’t know. Everyone seems to like it, so maybe it’s me :man_shrugging:

4 posts were split to a new topic: Zlin Aviation Savage Norden Liveries not Loading

@DigitalJonx would be great if you consider simplifying choosing the liveries. Now it’s a little bit confusing. For example If you choose crimson livery you need to turn on the notepad and change it every time for livery number 1. Otherwise the plane is white. Maybe saving the last setting would be fine. It’s weird to do walk around white plane and then change the livery after you get inside the plane

I feel like the sub-livery setting used to be saved, and one of the SUs broke it. I had a nice ā€œSeahawksā€ color set livery I had as my default and I’m almost sure at release it would be there whenever I picked the Norden, but after an SU I had to go into the tablet to select the variation every time as the base ā€œblackā€ underlying scheme would be there when I first loaded the plane.

Definately not just you. The aircraft is experiencing an extreme pitch up moment whenever flaps are extended by one notch from the present flap setting. Beyond the first notch of flaps, the nose up force is strong enough that the aircraft runs out of nose down trim authority to counteract it. (Basically, if you go to the second notch of flaps and beyond, you’ll max out the nose down trim, but still have a net nose up force you’ll have to use forward stick to counteract.)

As a workaround, you can fly your approaches with flaps set to the first notch/TO position (20°) and use an approach speed of 55 to 60 kts. That will (just barely) give you enough trim authroity to trim for the approach attitude - though it will also result in a longer landing roll.

I put in a bug report on the issue:

Yes!! I think this state saving broke at some point, which made me think the liveries themselves were broken.

I picked this up for FS2020 and it’s a fantastic aircraft for the price I paid (12.99 Canadian) I love the fact that you can extend the slats via the air brake axis separate from the main flaps axis. It gives you a wide variety of options for takeoff and landings as well as stability at slow speeds. I also really like the ā€œanalog tankā€ style digital gauges on the left and right of G3X avionics. Overall it’s among some of best ā€œsuper cubā€ style aircraft I’ve flown in FS 2020.

When you upgrade to 2024 you’ll be even more delighted with it, as 24’s flight modeling feels more authentic.

The avionics display is very low brightness, in daytime its difficult to read most of time

Otherwise really fun aircraft, really enjoy this one

In msfs 2024 I barely cannot take off without a ā€œnear accident ā€œ . It has a very , very strong tendeny to turn to the left, uncontrollably !!

That’s not the case in msfs 2020. In msfs 2024 I put that plane aside as a nice toy for children(?), along with many other original 2020 planes .

Believe me, I know how to fly taildraggers. Owned a Bücker 181 for 35 years, have about 2000 hrs IR on tail draggers.
