I just discovered this thread. Yeah, folks, please go vote on the Multiple Screens Functionality item.
I just made a video last night illustrating why folks who don’t have multi-monitor setups should want it, and why those of us with such setups (even if it’s just a minimal triple-monitor setup without physical instruments such as mine), should raise awareness of the lack of support for proper surround experience.
