I am not sure if this has already been talked about and I am not even sure where I should post this.
So when I fly with friends if they don’t have the aircraft I have, or if i don’t have the aircraft they have we see each other as something like an airliner or a single engine prop, I think this happens to everyone. I honestly have no idea about programming so forgive me if this is ludicrous to suggest, but would it be possible to make the other aircraft at least appear like the same type you are flying or at least a similar type of aircraft which one of the default, like if I was flying a F-14 but someone was flying a F-15 and I did not have a F-15, they could either appear as another F-14 or at least an F-18 which I think everyone has.

Model Matching is horrid in this Sim.
When another player is flying the Concorde it is displayed to me as a single engine GA, because
it isn’t in my library.
This should be fixed within the Sim itself.

I agree, like i said i know nothing about how the sim is programmed, it may be less simple than it sounds but it would be nice if it could be fixed, it’s been like it since day 1 and it’s I am sure I am not the only one to have mentioned it, they must be aware of it.

And it was done before helicopters were officially a thing. Which means that anyone in a non-default chopper will be displayed as anything except a chopper.
A totally unrelated question: did you guys know that the Boeing 787 can hover elegantly, and perform vertical landings in very tight spots? I know because I’ve seen one do it!

It’s true, and some of the airliners are capable of aerobatics!

pfft. that’s nothing. I once watched a Cessna 152 go Mach 1.2 directly over me before pulling a hard nose up and shooting up to 40,000 feet

I’ve always thought that any aircraft on Marketplace, or from 3rd party devs need to include a generic model that can be used to display their aircraft to all players. That way everyone would see it, even if we don’t own it.
