Multi Monitor Display is essential for those flying in a home built cockpit!! And please add a Boeing 737-800.
Now microsoft post a top wish list for multiple displays functionality, i donât think is acceptable ,is not a wish is a feature that supposedly had to be at launch of the simulator ,i donât understand im very disappointed
And anorher vote from my side.
It was even announced/ promissed by Asobo.
Got 3 x 32 inch monitor sitting on my desk.
Also with that in mind i bought msfs
Mutiple monitor support (not though Surround) is now the only thing missing for me to complete my setup. OK, not the only thing - I have a list! - but it is the single biggest disappointment to be unable to effectively use my four monitors for a more immersive experience. The other stuff I can be more patient about. Thanks in advance for your earliest delivery.
+1 for me too. I have three 4k monitors, with the side monitors at 50 deg angles. The viewgroup facility in P3D allows me to set up the two side monitors with linked side views at 50 deg, with bezel correction, which works PERFECTLY, all three monitors slew around the scene or cockpit together. Come on Asobo, multi monitor functionality is a must!
+1 for adding simultaneous multi projection (i.e. realistic field of view) for triple monitor setups. X-Plane 11 does this well and itâs a huge disappointment if it canât be added to MSFS 2020.
I just tried nvidia surround to stack 2 monitors vertically, and msfs auto exposure has a bit of trouble when thereâs an equal amount of scenery and cockpit is in view at the same time. Outside is too bright. This game is clearly intended for just 1 screen. So theyâre going to have to tweak their camera model if thereâs going to be decent multi monitor support or simply give us manual exposure control.
I will be requesting a full refund due to the lack of true multi-monitor setup.
Before you return the sim, consider the following video I just made. Even with the terrible distortion I showed in the first video, I find that I gravitate back to triple monitors. I kept trying to switch to single-monitor 4K, with TrackIR. But it just doesnât give me the same feeling of surround vision. I kept coming back to 1080 triple monitors. Sigh.
In this second video, I wanted to explain that TrackIR is still useful, when using multiple monitors. I leverage the 360-degree vision it gives me, as I stalked unwitting simmers at San Francisco. I love that city. Itâs so beautiful.
Just imagine this experience, WITH proper multi-viewport support.
To do Multiple Display CORRECTLY requires a LOT of development.
Just look how long it too Lockheed to end up with a working, geometrically correct, multiple screen solution, and for them it was kind of of a HIGH priority, for their In-House sims development.
I now ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about general âComputer gamesâ â do they support multiple screens,? Maybe this is just another new thing to Asobo.
It therefore probably NOT a feature that can just be Added at the next Update. (like removing the Press any key message )
Good to see the multi-monitor support is on the main wishlist, and according to recent podcast with Microsoft and Asobo is in development. As a cockpit builder I hope when this released it enables the camera flexibility you get in X-Plane (lateral, vertical, FoV, etc). Additionally, having the ability to âswitch offâ elements of the plane adds to the realism. For example on the C172, if you have built side walls for the cockpit, then all you really need are the wings on the side monitors. You dont need the windows as well else end up having double windows !! X-Plane does this very well and I wont be changing over to MS2020 until I see decent multi-screen support, although I am so impressed with those graphics. VFR will be so much more enjoyableâŠ
This is a very high priority for me. If they could get this functionality similar to other competitor sims cough⊠xp11 it would be VERY beneficial to my setup.
Seems like new bug discovered, welhen flying with ultra wide display config (one ultra wide monitor or several with nVidia surround) - blurry lights at night:
Itâs not so difficult, nearly all recing sims have this. It very similar to implementing VR (in progress as Asobo said) which requires separate viewports for each eye. nVidia offers Simultaneous Multiple Projection at virtually no performance cost.
Not so difficult ? â until you try it, and realize itâs not so simple to do RIGHT.
But yes, most things are possible â IF you throw enough money at the solution.
I think the issue is that FSX had the function where you could pop out multiple view windows and place them to the left and right, and get a simple three view setup. As FS2020 sits, itâs almost unusable to me as a real pilot.
How difficult can it be to pop out separate view windows if FSX had it?
FS2020 plays more like google maps flying mode than a flight simulator. (and a poor map at that)
The functionality âmightâ be in MSFS 2020, but so far, no mention of it in the SDK, so who knows.
I canât imagine that ASOBO âdesignedâ a Flight Simulator App, that will not eventually support Multiple screens in a multi monitor cockpit view mode.
To do Multiple Display CORRECTLY requires a LOT of development.
Multi-monitor support has been with MSFS for 2 decades. It was promised. It was REMOVED/DROPPED by the new version. Just like replays.
Those two absent âfoundational featuresâ represent (replay/multi monitor) the casual sim user⊠in other words, this new version of MSFS at launch caters to the mass market.
I am optimistic a âPro Versionâ is in the works, that returns these âstandardâ features [some irony in that].
+1 for this request. I donât even consider this a feature. itâs base functionality⊠FS is overall nice and people are giving Asobo a pass because of the beautiful graphics and impressive streaming and AI technologie. but multi-monitor is a must. When Asobo⊠When ???
