Hi guys,
me and some friends getting several times the same error after the latest MSFS SIM Update:
“Your graphics device has encountered a problem and the application will exit. This maybe due to graphics card overlocking, overheating or due to a driver fault.”
Before the latest SIM Update my/our SIM’s were very stabil without any issues or errors. Does anybody else has the issues/errors since the latest SIM Update and there is any solution?

After searching the web, YouTube, various forums and trying many recommendations from other helpful Flight Simmers, I finally found the fix for this issue with "Your graphics device has encountered a problem and the application will exit. I opened the SIM and opened the OPTIONS tab then under GERNERAL OPTIONS/GRAPHICS/DIRECTX VERSION, I changed it from DX12 to DX11. On the next SIM startup the problem disappeared. I’ve made 5 successful flights since I made this change and I feel confident that this was the problem. I can’t guaranty that this will work on your rig but its worth the try. My thanks to Delay Flight for his recommendations during this time of crisis. Good Luck
I’ve also been getting this error. I am using DX11 and a RTX 4070Ti.

The only one “solution post” in your linked topic is not really helpful tbh:
"Hello everyone, In talking with Asobo, they have informed us that this message is triggered when memory consumption is too high for your particular system. Before, you would just get a CTD or freeze with no error message. Suggested solutions if you are regularly getting this message are one or more… "
Even a downgrad vom DX12 to DX11 doesn’t help. So if I’m not the only one with that issue since the latest SIM update, there is maybe a error with the latest SIM update?
It was never intended as a solution.
As stated in that post, it is a link so others can add their vote to the bug report, which will thus give that bug report a higher priority, and hopefully will get the issue corrected sooner.
